Morning all. The day started cloudy, but now the sun is out. I have a number of things to do and must try to get them finished before the game starts. Already looking at some of the allotments in the area I seem to be dropping behind, but my tomatoes are still producing ripe fruit while others have finished and cleared them away.
The silence here and on the match day thread suggests: We are excessively nervous. We are all marching and protesting in London We're to busy putting the garden to bed. We're too busy crushing grapes. It's just a naff day and no one cares. And or any combination of above. But I'm here. CMON U'ORNS .
Can you add laughing at the sore losers marching in London, manning the leaf blower avoiding the mother-in-law fixing a sink waste plunger all jobs will stop at 2.55 so I can listen to John Mark's dulcet tones.
Yup the duck/Lewis was well controlled by England. But to be honest Sri Lanka are not offering very much. Years ago England would have been scared of the spin but now they seem to reverse sweep everything. So Sri Lanka have responded by changing their game plan and it isn't right yet. And England have their own spinners. Dave have you got Sky or do you listen to the radio? I note this ODI series the radio seems restricted and they are not giving a proper ball by ball commentary.
It sounds as if the mother-in-law has driven SH round the U-bend. I am not sure quite how one can man a leaf blower either. It conjures up some weird pictures.
A great win Dave for The Canaries and into the play off places you go. And two home games coming up. I thought the worst one goal down
Weekend in the Berkshire countryside.... I usually do 8-10 away days watching the Hornets, always do Birmingham but I refuse to go to Wolverhampton ever again. This win is utterly joyous. Had I not been lording it with Mrs HF in our temporary stately home I would have been on the march.
Morning all. Quite misty at the moment, but sun due to make an appearance before too long. Monthly dinner with my football friends today, and I see that venison is on the menu, suggesting that Autumn has arrived. It is always good to go to the event on the back of a win.
Morning all from a sunny Jersey. Not many occasions that I can get one over on my colleague who supports Citeh, so I'm going to enjoy tomorrow.
Morning all, dry and sunny, but not as warm these mornings. Excellent Sunday dinner yesterday, with some interesting people joining us. One was an elderly cyclist who had been selected in earlier times to attend the Olympic trials for the GB team. Unfortunately he crashed during the trials, and failed to make the team. Another visitor was a lady born to an English mother and a Finnish father. She has lived and worked in nine different countries, and is travelling with a Dutch passport, although born in England. Along the way she has picked up four languages, but admits that you do need to keep using them or they slowly disappear.
