He has less than a year left on his deal im sure ashley is getting pissed off with a manager who wont sign a new contract and cant get his team to win a game.

Congratulations to Brighton, perfect away performance, scored a goal and defended well afterwards.

Thought we were filthy today, especially Lascelles on Locadia, but it was harsh we didn't get anything from the game. Then in terms of tactical nous it was a bit of a damp squib from the gaffer it has to be said. Bring on Joselu and hope that changes everything.... It didn't. Why not bring Dummett off and put on Murphy and play Ritchie Wingback considering we were having them down that flank? Seemed like resignation.

Meh. People who didn't watch the game will say we are ****ing ****e and doomed. We may well be, but there were more positives than negatives, and I thought we did look the better team for decent segments. Classic Chris Hughton tactics, love the man and wish him the best.

 

I'm sure by now Ashley isn't the only one getting pissed off. Our style of play is slow, boring sh.te. I bet the passes between Fernandez ans Lascelles beat any other pair. Too slow to catch cold. We huff and puff every week whenever we get near the penalty area and why we persist in Perez and Joselu ( both as much use as chocolate fireguards ) is beyond me. Our only decent crosser of a ball is Dummett and virtually every ball in midfield MUST go to Shelvey cause there is NO other creativity as a result even poor sides are stuffing us, we are far too predictable.
Despite are glaring failings Rafa makes one sub and I'm now convinced he's waiting for the push and contract paid up. The man is too one dimentional and I'm sorry to say it wouldn't bother me if he went as I can't see us improving any. He has signed 2 sicknotes when we were desperately looking for scorers in Slimani and now Rondon yet the people he let go are scoring at will.
We have nothing to lose now so I say give one or 2 of our younger players a chance. They can't perform any worse than our " seasoned pro's "
Let us remind ourselves that Brighton have now won 4 out of the last 5 games against us at St James' Park WITHOUT us scoring. Pathetic.

would it now seem correct to demand his money back as his comments were correct

 

I said it needs to get worse before Ashley ****s off. This is what we needed I am afraid. A couple more defeats and he might just **** off and jump off a cliff.

We need relegation and a period of ****e for him to go. Forget Rafa. He’s gone already. We have to start afresh when fat **** goes.

I thought we did ok today, we lacked a bit of cutting edge, but honestly we just didn't get the breaks in the box.

Kenedy and Perez did well on more than one occasion to negotiate round defenders only to find a last ditch block or they sliced it wide.

Muto was a waste of time, because when we ran out of ideas the long ball to him was pointless. Shelvey, however, was a class above everyone on the park.

I'm sorry but I didn't see what you have seen in Shelvey today
I saw a man that was **** scared to shoot and when he did, just like the rest of the useless ****s Diame in particular
his shots where shockingly way off target apart from the one where there keeper tipped it onto the bar

 

Shev was the only player looking for the pass and never hid unlike the other spineless ****s on the pitch

 

passing is one thing but shooting on target is another, why even Diame managed to pass to one of our players today #wondersnevercease

Players won't be able to win on this like. Shelvey did have about 4 or 5 digs, most of which were blocked. Then second half he tried to work it into the box rather than shoot, fans were getting on his back. More got on the back of Kenedy for lashing it at every opportunity, and some fans were screaming at Perez for not shooting when there would have been no point because he would have hit the defender guaranteed.

I just think it's fine to be disappointed with the defeat, but we are not worse than Brighton, we outplayed them for 65 mins of the match, which encourages me seeing as our net spend is so woeful in comparison........

One of Shelvey's passes to Ritchie was the actual highlight of the game.

Just need a bit of a rub of the green.
