I'm with PompeyLapras on this one and don't give a flying fig who wins and who doesn't in this joke. Argyle have much more pressing concerns than to enter this. Best of luck to Pompey and if you think this competition is worthwhile then win it by all means. Think you'd rather be in the Championship next season though.
One thing I fear is that if we make the PL one day and manage to get our academy up to scratch, we'll accept the invitation and have our academy in the tournament. I would be frankly disgusted with Portsmouth if that was the case...
I agree with pompeydownunder, inasmuch as it gives us an opportunity to give an invaluable run out to our reserve and academy players. Win or lose, it's a great experience for the academy players in particular.
