As expected, team, I’m afraid that Royal King did not, I say not, make the cut for the class 6 12 furlong handicap at Kempton Park tomorrow evening. Disappointing. That’s twice now, recently, that he’s missed the cut in a 0-60 heat but let’s hope for 3rd time lucky in the not too distant future, say I. What, what?!? One who does go, of the morrow, though is The Squire and good luck, crew. You would certainly have to say that the old boy has been found what appears to be a decent opportunity at Kempton off his joint-lowest ever perch. Hope it all goes well.
Afternoon, team. Hope we all well. I see the horse that I’ve been waiting to make his handicap hurdling bow for 10 months (and no that isn’t an exaggeration as some will testify) has been given an entry for Stratford on Saturday. Are connections deploying the age old trick of trick of burying an entry in an ordinary heat when all eyes will be elsewhere (i.e. Ascot)?!? Makes you ruminate, doesn’t it?!? Well it does me at any rate… Meanwhile, anyone tipping anything yet in Saturday’s ‘Immoral Handicap’?!? In recent terms that has been the forum’s 2nd favourite handicap.
Enable heading to the 'Breeders Cup'. I wonder what the American's will make of Lord Teddy?!? Answers on a postcard please to the usual address...
Meanwhile where will Forum favourite and stalwart The New One be heading this weekend? The Welsh Champion Hurdle on Saturday or the listed hurdle at Kempton on Sunday? Sure to go well at either venue
I think a lot will depend on how much more rain Ffos Las get. I think they are forecast a bit tomorrow but then its reasonable dry up to ‘tapes up’. That’s what is forecast anyway the reality may very well be different. Bit disappointed that The Lieutenant has only made 1 entry at the venue incidentally on Saturday. With in excess of £100k up for grabs you would have thought he might have targeted it a bit more.
afternoon, fellas! punchestown,2 35: this features one of my all time favourites,HIDDEN CYCLONE.hes very close to my heart, and i support him every time.hes not getting any younger, but will give it his best shot again, for sure..has enough form to be competitive here. hereford,2 55: both ilewin geez and lets sway are respected on form, but they both could be vulnerable to an improver, and that comes in the shape of NIGH OR NEVER.has shown some ability last season, and his yard often does well at this track,so a bit of a dark horse here..
Agreed, he also hasn’t many in at Kempton on Sunday, a venue he generally likes, especially for starting novices. Maybe a slow start to the season at Seven Barrows?
huntingdon,3 15: all of these have some sort of chance on overall form, but i think,COPPER WEST could have an experience edge here, and his last second place is working out well now.so,he gets a narrow vote..
He’s got the mare Casablanca Mix entered over fences at Kempton on Sunday. The sky really could be the limit re her. She’s also got a comparatively low perch (138) so could run up a sequence in handicaps before going on to contest Graded affairs. Should she turn up on Sunday I really couldn’t see those old boy geldings getting anywhere near Casablanca Mix off 138.
