The same result last season but in Barcelona's favour - Barcelona 6 -1 PSG - was being called as fixed as well.

    Common denominator ????

    Very serious for us.

If they get thrown out of comp then their draw with Napoli might be binned as well. That means we are in effect dependant on pgs beating Napoli twice.

Our loss away just went from crap but we can recover to oh shiiiiittt

    Lovren on Sterling <laugh>
Just need Henderson to pick up 2nd yellow early in 2nd half so he doesn't play both games.

Really weird... I thought exactly the same on first watch... I watched it again tonight.

Thoughts: I still don't think it's the best marvel movie like so many statement critters want it to be but I think I was swayed by that going in the first time.

I'm white so "outsider" view. 2nd time around the conflict of ideas was interesting. Idea of "what if' for Africa vs the worst results of forced transplantation of a black man into western culture.

It's an interesting convo between black people I think.

    Me?

    Simplistic...

    1) not all descendants of slaves and then bigotry became kilmonger .. the " pure African spirit vs corrupted western black was ...just off.

    2) to put statements throughout the movie like that but then do the same western thing of if only we had a magic source of power... on one hand it's our same ideal myth so smash down those barriers.

Look... it's a marvel film... I think for it's type of movie it did well putting those questions out there in the same way Winter Soldier did on freedom questions...

Primarily action movies .and they don't feel interrupted by any director message so ok.

for me it's a comic book, probably created after Malcolm ex's time using blavk panther name I don't know.

it's better than the grey ghost who s a white guy in Africa or the league of gentlemen character etc.

    I don't mind the movie.

I just don't get how African American people can lap that up as ground-breaking... an African American lead... shock... take your pick of movies luvs is what I'd say.

    a) one kingdom in Africa stood back and let all the slavery and colonial powers happen... it let famines ravage the continent.. but let's ignore that one.

    b) let's ignore the awful accent which clearly is some Caribbean/where ever effort as an African accent. has to be understandable in USA, perfect English even though this place is supposedly never a British colony... go figure.

    c) my final I don't get it... why are half their people out in the bush living like natives... it's never explained.. are they serfs?

Gini is really good in the advanced role. Would like to see him more in that position because he can be effective.

    we don't have that role?

we have no 6 and he did fine.

we have two box to box where we need guys who can get turned and make passes.

Keita needs to get fit and we now imo badly need another

As an African, this was one rubbish movie. There are some great african mythical stories with super heroes and interesting powers.

They could have done a better job creating new characters than that load of african american actors masquerading as Africans

    <ok>

it really was an American movie for Americans then?

    there's a lot.of that that goes about.

most English characters in American movies are type cast.

    all German character are.

    and Russians.

it is just funny to me looking in that they really do focus inwards almost all the time but expect the globe to then consume it.

The list of films being made for USA audiences which ignore basic facts, especially historical ones is endless. U-571 springs to mind where it was suddenly Americans capturing the first Enigma machine, whereas it was the British. Braveheart has so many historical inaccuracies it is comical. How could Gibson's character flirt with the King's wife when Wallace was dead before she was born.

Any film which has regional accents, such as Trainspotting or 51st State has to have subtitles so the American audience knows what is being said. They exist in their own bubble and expect the rest of the world to change to suit them.

just reading up on a bit of chelsea and came across this:

    upload_2018-10-15_12-47-21.png

I guess that embodies the spirit of both our managers and what draws us to them even if we don't end up winning
