No one was more surprised than Cocker when he was left so much money in his old mate Michael Jackson's will. He’s using that money to buy City, backed with even more money by Spotify, the pitch will be dug up and relaid between games to allow use of the Bitcoin mine, and Geoff Beilby will be installed as Chairman. I thought it was fairly clear?
Just caught up with the latest and rather strange developments... What strikes me as odd is that the HCST and consortium dont actually have the money ready to put a bid on the table. They've only just made their interest official and from what I understand would need to agree a fee with the Allams and THEN find the money from investors and supporters using Crowdfunding (similar to Kickstarter) What we do know is Duffen already has a £40m+ offer on the table that has either been accepted or is very close. All the legal fannying about is pretty much done and, we are told, is weeks away from completion (as this has apparently been going on since August). The timing is wrong for me. If this was first touted early in the year or at least before Duffen showed interest we could have all got behind it as we're desperate to get rid of the Allams. As it stands I hope Duffen and the mystery Saudi gets it.
One of my riding buddies has a dog called Jarvis - it's a ****in' mentalist ...... you'd love him (the dog, not my mate).
Really ? As soon as this Duffen story broke the Allams come out and say they have 3 potential buyers. So what happens now? Do they permit the other 2 buyers to do their own DD enabling them to put in an offer. So many little bits of news which when all pieced together make me think it's 89% bullshit.
The other year when I was at some service station in a Waitrose, 'Cocker' was in there with his missus and tall sproglet, Mrs Cocker refers to him as 'JC' ~he's obviously the messiah ... or a very naughty boy
The trust won't need to have the money. They're just putting their backing behind whoever it is that has. That's the way I'm reading it anyway.
I think in a perverse way the Allams would like to sell to a group partly owned by the fans in a 'Go on then see if you can do any better' way.
