I’ll keep it simple. This bid is a statement released by a group no one seems to know much about. The Trust website has no details. The bloke linked to it doesn’t seem to have told anyone on here. The idea that it is remotely possible seems beyond common sense from what I can see on the rather amusing websites linked to the names. The named facilitator is a PROVEN fantasist and liar. If this is much more than this group using the Trust as Patsy to get some publicity then great. I suspect it’s a lot of hot air in a noble cause. Any serious bid wouldn’t drop that sort of smug statement. Have you ever seen a takeover bid that makes a point of saying who is administrating it? I don’t doubt Geoff is genuine but this feels a little like he’s being either used... or hopeful beyond reality. But I’m happy to hear more and be proven wrong. Some details may help. Any details. Like who agreed it. How it’s structured. How on earth the money can be sourced and how we even begin to get through the FA tests. I’ll shut up and wait for some detail. Any detail.
Well this came out of the blue, will it mean the Allams will have a bit more bargaining power? I don't know, do we all know enough about it ? No, It will be interesting over the coming days when we learn more but until we do how can we judge it. Geoffs heart is in Hull city he will have good intentions but money for both buying and then strengthening well that's another matter. He must know something about the money available and obviously the investors but until more is available then it's difficult to judge.
I listened to it and i was reassured that it looks like the Trust are happy to get involved with any bid that has them at the forefront and it would be criminal not to look into it further but i wasnt convinced it was a serious bid personally. RH said they though PD's legal team were at the club today and it is still very much the front runner. Who is behind the so called third bid?
