This is nothing to do with whichever year we are are on but is for my Dad who died at the end of August suddenly and unexpectedly. He too worked for the milk industry and when he started had a horse and cart. He was a Saints fan and used to get free tickets for the Milk Cup. He would always take me to the games at the Dell. This song made him smile so it always reminds me of him and seems the most appropriate song to post.
Lovely post Whiteley and I am too sorry for your loss. It’s a fantastic song and I am the other one on here who is the offspring of a milkman. Keep those happy memories, but just remember ... I bet that my dad was quicker than yours
This was Whitney's take on the George Benson original, The Greatest Love of All, wise words indeed...
And finally two tracks from my favourite band's offering from this year, Candy Apple Grey... 1987 starts on Tuesday but you are welcome to post yours anytime.
I loved Whitney and her version of this, however I always preferred George singing it with the London philly orchestra at Wembley! Magic evening that was.
This is my favourite song released in 1986. Somewhere I have the 12” on vinyl. A little rude, but fun!
Not 1986 or 19-anything. I've just discovered this amazing blues artist Samantha Fish and will be spending 'quite some time' viewing her YT videos. You go girl!
Wow! The words “tight little outfit” spring to mind, and I’m honestly not talking about her dress! Great drums and bass, and she is something else on that Tele!
