me either, but to draw comparisons it would be like rob cross wining the world championships playing phil taylor( who has won how many titles lol)
Dunno thats quite fair to Rob cross. He's had a "meteoric" rise. Surely a jourenyman who's won nothing for years before and years after would make more sense.
It is all about starting well. The confidence of bottom clubs are very fragile. An early goal opens the flood gates. They rarely are able to comeback against a top team. On the other hand a 0-0 gives them confidence that they might hold on to a point. I’d only be worried if it stayed 0-0 at 60 minutes.
I agree. I know that jinxes are a load of bollocks, but if the players suffer from the same over-confidence and complacency that some fans show against misfiring teams it can be their downfall. We should take nothing for granted.
that's their job. I can say we should win this game and should win it 99/100 times and that has no bearing on what they actually do.
In seasons gone I'd be more worried about this sort of game where we are expected to win as it was always inevitable our defence would cough up a golden chance or two or out keeper was howler prone. But despite clearly not being at our fluid best, we are a much more resilient team and even on an off day should have enough to see us through. I hope Klopp looks at our midfield and finds a balance between defence and attack, Wij and Milner sitting with Keita getting in and beyond the forward line.
International break now isn't it ? 2 weeks should be fine, it's all these midweek games we should be looking at resting him and bringing Fabinho in IMO
League position clearly show what a club has been capable of. If they raise their game 50% their fans should feel cheated fot 7 games that have gone before. They can't score goals... and it's not only the table that doesn't lie, look at their strikers. Moonie the only lad Khalid capable and Lord help him he isn't exactly dynamic. No forward has actually scored a goal yet for them! Their last two goals have come from cbs on set peice. They are likely to try 541 against us... as they tried it v Leicester and Everton. If we drop our game (even further) and let this lot even draw we know come end of season all our rivals will have beaten them.
As long as we go at Udders with the desire to rack up a 5-0 win we'll be fine. Back 4 back to normal please and Fabinho into the middle. Some early goals and a run out for Studge and Shaq would be nice.
seems an ideal match to play Fabinho particularly as we need him up to speed if Milner is out for a while.Another plus is his extra height might be useful defending set pieces.
Not really off it are we? In the Prem, at least. We've shared points with City and the Chavs, and beaten everyone else. Seems ok to me.
you are right. we are bang on track for 90points. you can see this in Astros graphs. we just played two top 4 rivals away and one at home and came out unbeaten and with 5 points. have to be happish with that surely. I also agree with another point from above that with the back 5 not throwing in goals we look a different outfit. people are more scared of us now than when the front 3 were scoring 25+ goals each last season I mean from where we are the only place that could be better is to have a 6 point gap to top of table or something having won it all. the only result that was disappointing is Napoli late loss. If we had taken a draw home there we would be in an even better go position. will on these fixtures I say
Well this is what a Squad is for, Milner out means we have Hendo, Keita, Fabinho, Wijnaldum as options which is pretty good.
