Didn't see the game today, nor any of the other two to any commentable extent.

However, it's good to read someone stick their head above parapet and give a different point of view.

Like I said/wrote, I didn't see the game, but as I often distrust the seemingly pre-conceived narrative, I found your comments interesting.

For what it's worth, my thoughts on today's game.

    Positives:
After about 30 mins of the game, we played some nice stuff and looked a useful side at times. We asked questions of Sheffield United and managed to gain a little ascendency in the game and you could hear their fans starting to get edgy around 10 minutes into the second half.
I was very impressed with Dicko when he came on. He hassled and hurried and seemed to be a nuisance whenever he had the opportunity. With a run of games in the side, he could be a valuable asset. He also linked up well at times with Martin who I felt also did ok.
Dan Batty looks like he'll be crucial for us; great to have him back in the team.
Irvine also tried to make things tick. A fan's favourite and one who can work a bit of magic for us.

    Negatives:
For all our good play, it did still feel inevitable that they would score. Some of the defending was fairly desperate early on and we seemed to give their attacking players far too much time to pick a pass and to move. McGoldrick had a chance after about 15 mins which he should have scored after been left in far too much space.
The last 10 mins of the game felt like a training exercise for Sheff Utd. We'd gone close before their goal but there seemed little urgency to try and get back into the game. A 1-0 lead should be edgy but it felt like they coasted to their win in the last few minutes.
Further proof that a bit of investment and cohesion can get you somewhere in this league. Sheff Utd are a decent side and after a shaky start are in decent form. However, when we asked questions of them they looked rather ordinary and it's galling to think we've tossed away the chance of being a force in this league due to that odious ****nugget Ehab's mismanagement.
The fanbase is weary. That's the fourth time I've been to Bramall Lane and it didn't feel like a Yorkshire derby. We've packed that end at Bramall Lane before with a fantastic atmosphere and it felt sad to see the comparison today.

Overall, we did ok today but we deserve to be bottom due to the season as a whole rather than just today. We lack so much cohesion and we can't do the simple things right at times. The squad has been decimated in a short space of time and we're left with a collection of decent players but with little or no time to build a team ethic. The blame lies primarily with Ehab and his wilful destruction of the club but it's difficult to keep faith with Adkins. In the right circumstances at the club with proper backing, he could do well but he appears clueless as to how to get us out of this rut. I guess all we can hope for is the takeover to come to fruition and quickly as it's difficult to see us not being in the bottom 3 come the end of the season.

I also see Dave Fergus has crawled out from underneath his rock on Twitter <laugh>. Surprised Allam apologists still exist.

Never heard of him, just searched and found.

Smacks of a parody account at first glance.

Phil Buckingham on Twitter says we have won only 13 of the 58 games since we were relegated from the Premier League. No bloody wonder we are all down in the dumps.

Hang on! Are you saying we weren't outclassed against Leeds? Or didn't you see that game?

People were correctly slating Adkins for talking like Leeds were the greatest team in the history of football , now im reading our fans proud of the performance because we managed to hold the mighty Sheffield United to just a 1-0 defeat ... I didn't see the game so I'm not going to comment further , but as has been said the league table doesn't lie . But being bottom of the league will only make Phil Browns escape act even more glorious

With all respect to players and coaches about their deep feelings of sadness, despair, emptiness and all other depressing things..boys on the pitch should start scoring and stop losing already.. C'mon, Hull City! The results are absolutely unacceptable! <sorry>

Another way of looking at it is the side that is bottom only lost 2-0 on aggregate in three games against 3 of the top 4.

    That is a positive.

    Yeah, I’m clutching at straws.

On balance it sounded as if we didn't play badly, and were unlucky to be given a dubious penalty against us. The whole malaise around the club is IMO causing this general bad atmosphere which does affect players and everybody alike. Until there is a change of ownership this feeling that we are not getting the rub of the green is likely to continue. It has to happen now for the sake of the club.

As a dedicated follower of Dennis's philosophy I expected to get 0 points from the last 3 games but we actually came away with 1 point, so aĺl is good.
