Actually I reckon it’ll be a repeat of the fixture at Stamford Bridge on 2nd September 1967, when we thumped them 6-2.
Hopefully Mark gets them in at 11am and shows them the full 90 from last seasons home fixture. That'll do pig, that'll do.
Good point. Was there and could not understand what happened in the last 20 mins. We just did not have a leader on the park to galvanise the team and it appears that remains the case. Someone has to get a grip on the pitch every time we score a goal as the opposition know for certain now that is when we will give them a goal or more back. MH can do so much but on the pitch is where it needs to be grasped. Surely there’s enough experience around to solve this problem?
I agree, although it was more the changes Chelsea made that undid us. Pedro and Giroud coming on was just too much for our fragile defence to cope with, but a huge factor of course was Marcos Alonso not getting sent off in the first half.
Sadly no time has become too tight......will be fortunate to even get to the match before kick off. Got to pick my grandson up from work. He doesn’t finish until two!! They changed his shift........I swear his boss is a Pompey fan.....
Yep, all depending on timing. Can we meet though on the 'other' side of St Mary's? The Old Farmhouse is beyond the ground as we park before the chapel if you get what I mean. I'll PM you in the morning It will make more sense
Off to Waterloo after a night shift, wondering if I shouldn’t go back to bed. Give us something to shout about Saints
Obviously prefer a point or three, but will be relieved to come out of this match without too much damage to GD. May seem a bit early to be concerned about this, but a decent GD has been important to us in many a season....can mean finishing a few critical places higher.
