They saw you coming mate <laugh>

1 expensive (ish) restaurant/Cafe I don't mind paying for is The Hive, near Bridport. Best fish I've ever had. Absolutely incredible, and a beautiful spot

Had fish and chips in one of the harbour huts at West Bay last time we were down that neck of the woods. Was very nice but I wouldn't rate it higher than locally where we go. Which is also in a fishing village so the fish quality will be as good.

Going to Cornwall next summer in the MoHo, plan to go to Stein's chippy and see how good that is.

    Mevagissey in Cornwall

Went there one March when the missus and me first got together ... was very cold and frosty but bright and sunny .... there is a chippy on the harbour and they had so many different fish choices - just wouldn't get there where we live in Hertfordshire - Mevagissey is a working fishing harbour. Anyways I asked for Hake - guy said "if you take the walk around the harbour wall it will be about ready when you get back" ... it was, and we sat on a bench looking over the harbour eating the best fish and chips I've ever tasted ...

Really? You mean he's not dashing from 1 restaurant to the next one, and then to the next one every bloody night, trying to cook every meal in all 3 restaurants in Padstow?

Damn, that never occurred to me. I just assumed he was as fit as ****!

I've known a dog that peed on an electric fence. In Denmark as a kid visiting some friends they had a Springer spaniel (my favourite breed). It seemed like all the fences in Denmark were electric for some reason... And this dog that had formerly lived in the UK where electric fences were rare took a long time to learn not to pee on electric fences.

He had been in Denmark a few months when we were there and in the week we were there I saw him pee on at least three fences. He reacted with shock and pain but didn't seem to learn from his mistake.
