Gutted for him. Will always have a huge amount of respect for the guy and what he achieved with us. I don't need someone like Charon quoting me and saying how he was **** and spent a fortube. You are wrong and we have spent too much of our time proving you wrong. No doubt a Championship club will appoint him and he will do well. His record in this division is too good to ignore.
I'm not one for rumours, (unless it's Fleetwood Mac) but this was allegedly taken on Hessle Rd earlier this afternoon. 2+2 = ? please log in to view this image
If its wasn't for Roy Hodgson bucking the trend...57 years of age would be old for a manager these days..
A huge budget? Bruce did not have access to any such thing, his net spend is positive at Villa. See previous analysis for the facts.
Villa fans are ****s. Well-known FACT Motley group of egos in that playing squad (Grealish etc) He's well out of it
So, unless Bruce is bankrolled every transfer window, as he was here, he cannot get a team promoted. When the purse strings remained shut to him, he walked. May Isuggest instead of "xxxxxxx does one" the future thread titles be "xxxxx got the cabbage"? Steve Bruce Sack sack
I would take him back with new owners in a heart beat. He is the best manger we have had and attracted players we had no right of getting. He wasn’t perfect by any means but as I said the best we have had.
Personally, I feel he has been unfairly treated at Villa, and they may well rue the day. Not sure that I would have him back though, I have always felt he did an excellent job for us, but coming back to a job you have left I am never in favour of as usually, it doesn't work out.
It's crazy how many clubs are so impatient these days. Generally there's off field anarchy at so many clubs yet they expect constant success on the pitch and keep sacking managers when it inevitably doesn't happen.
Ultimately he failed at City - he got us relegated with the biggest spend in the club's history, the team underperformed the next season, he ****ed up Europe, he dropped players to pick his son and then he threw his toys out of the pram because he couldn't have another bumper budget - he played some of the ****est negative football I've seen in years, his tactics of either taking all the attackers off if we were winning or throwing them all on if we were losing was Sunday League at best - he went to Villa with by far the best squad in the Championship - he ****ed up last season and he's totally ****ed up this season - he deploys exactly the same negative tactics - his excuses are just the same, 'one of those horrible afternoons' 'we huffed and puffed' and blaming either the players or the fans for his failures - why the **** would anyone want him back - he's a ****ing Jonah
drivel. he lost in the playoff final last season and since then villa have had financial issues that have prevented him getting reinforcements.
