Joey Barton's contract...

Nufcfans on twitter is reporting that there are rumours going around saying Joey hasn't signed his new contract... Anyone heard anything?

 

i wouldnt be supprised if he left now andy carrol has gone, whats the point in having a long ball master if there is no one to take it down, i wouldnt blame him tbh

Aye, i've heard rumours going around saying Joey hasn't signed his new contract.

 

To be honest if I was Barton I would be grateful to still be allowed to do the job I love, and would feel a huge debt to Newcastle (which he has said he feels hen does).

bartons contract has another year to go, so still enough time to offer him one/or turn it down.


like many have said i hope barton does sign a new contract, we gave him his chance back into football and his form last season and this season has had him mentioned as a possible for the england squad next week.

 

I assume the club got distracted over the last few days due to some 'business'.

Perhaps that's why the contract has been delayed. Either that or Barton's stalling over something

I read somewhere yesterday that he's still close to signing a new deal.
Probably just got delayed a bit due to the Carroll saga and deadline day fiasco?
Hopefully he signs within the next couple of weeks, closely followed by Jose!

 

He definetly hasnt signed a new contract cos if he had it would have been anounced which it hasnt

eerrrr sorry Gyan but when the whole of football said he should be sacked, and sent packing, NUFC refused to buckle and stuck by him when he was in prison etc. When he made his comeback he was warmly received by the majority. No other club would have stuck by him like that. It's lucky for Barton that our owner doesn't give a f*** what anyone thinks.......including us!

Barton will stay here and will sign a new deal and by the end of the season will be our Captain.

 

I hope this is all speculation, @NUFCFans did say it was a rumour circulating the forums, nothing in any media.

You all know how these things can happen. Someone says something on here, someone thats a member on here and somewhere else goes and puts it on another board, and repeat.

Its all bull, but a rumour someone fabricated. Joey's many things, but i liar i think he isn't.
