Poor Junior Lewis doesn't deserve to be insulted like that! I noticed Henriksen was trying to wave his arms around a bit last night too, not sure anybody was paying attention

Cabbage thrown at Steve Bruce: Aston Villa & police hunt fan

please log in to view this image

Steve Bruce's side have won three of their 11 Championship games this season
Police are working with Aston Villa to find a fan who threw a cabbage at the Championship club's boss Steve Bruce.

The vegetable did not hit Bruce, but he was angered by the incident before Tuesday's 3-3 home draw with Preston.

A West Midlands police spokesperson said: "A cabbage was thrown at the dugout from the stand. We are working with the club to identify the person."

Villa are 12th in the league table and have won one of their past 10 games in all competitions.

Bruce, who has been in charge for two years, said the spectator had shown a lack of respect.

"To say it's disappointing is an understatement for a club like this," said Bruce.

"Unfortunately, it sums up the society we are in at the moment. There's no respect for anyone."

Villa surrendered a 2-0 lead against the Championship's bottom club before scoring a late equaliser and missing a 97th-minute penalty.

What I want to know is why was a fan taking a cabbage to the ground in the first place? Not best use of their 5 a day. And how did they get it past the stewards?

    Good point.
Getting past our elite stewards with one would be a turnip for the books...

Brucie throw the cabbage at the Villa keeper, but he dropped it.

On City was it as bad as they say?
If 1 = £ucking terrible, and 10= brilliant display, what would those there to witness it say.

One incident by Henriksen summed up the whole team performance for me, near the end of the game about 10 mins to go our attack broke down up their end of the pitch near the touchline, their bloke had the ball but was facing towards his keeper so Henriksen just ran straight into the back of him conceding a free kick.

    Hey-ho your opinion

You obviously didn't watched us batter Stoke, Derby, Norwich, Preston or even Sheff Wed when they got away with a flukey draw

We are far better than what we showed last night. Can't wait for Hernandez, Roofe, Berardi & Izzy Brown to be fit again then you'll see the real Leeds, oh & we'll have Bamford back Christmas time

More importantly we also have the best coach in the championship

Always tried to keep a level of sympathy with Adkins due to the circus around the club but it's feeling hard to keep that with the idiotic comments and decisions he is making. It's inexcusable to be so lacklustre. Leeds have a better team but there's no reason why we shouldn't have made the game a decent contest. The ineptitude on the pitch makes the fawning over them post match even more stupid. We shouldn't be meekly slipping into the role of underdogs and accepting defeat because it's a superior team. With that attitude, it's no surprise the team have a can't be arsed attitude. We look an incoherent mess which Ehab must take the brunt of the blame for but Adkins is certainly not helping things with his daft comments. With dopey twat Ehab in charge, not sure we'd get anyone in better or with any pedigree. Sad, sad state of affairs and it's us as fans who bear the brunt of it.
