I hope this may be helpful to any Blades fans travelling to Derby by road for the game at Pride Park on 20th October, parking is available for away fans on two sites [100 and 400 yards from the stadium] at £6 per car/van [sorry no coaches].

There are roadworks and lane reductions on the A52 in the vicinity of the Pride Park slip roads and these are causing severe delays, therefore I would advise that those using the M1 leave at Jct28/A38 and travel via that route to the Little Eaton island, head towards Derby and use Frank Whittle Way [the railway bridge on Alfreton Road is closed due to a water main burst and is not expected to be open before November], go past the Morrisons island and then turn right at the next island and then left after about 60 yards, follow the road and go over the narrow railway bridge and down towards Alfreton Road, at the junction turn left and go past Chester Green and straight on at the island. Keep straight on towards the St. Alkmund's Way ring road and as soon as you have turned left indicate right and go across into the 3rd lane which will take you up an incline, at the top filter into the nearest left hand lane which goes down towards the lights, at the junction turn left and follow the road up the incline and over the railway bridge, at he island turn left into RIVERSIDE ROAD.

Go past the David Lloyd complex and indicate right, the PRIDE VETERINARY CENTRE car park is the first unit on the right hand side and is handier for the away friendly hostelries for those who may wish to eat/drink, for the elderly and less able supporters continue along Riverside Road to the last unit on the left hand side, the FRENGER SYSTEMS car park is the nearest to the stadium. *** When you leave this car park turn left and then right at the stadium island and the right at the next one and you are back on the road to take you back towards the A38, turn right at the lights and stay in the left hand lane and follow the road until you reach the split, indicate left and get in the left hand lane turning left at the island into Sir Frank Whittle Way, this will take you back to the Morrisons island and back to the A38.

I hope this helps, as I have already mentioned I would avoid the A52 approach as our illustrious City Council have done and are doing their best to prolong the over-running roadworks as much as possible, have a safe journey.<ok>
