Today's the say we find out if we'll be playing Thursday/Sunday football for the next couple of months at least. Do you want us to be in the Europa League? Or do you think we don't deserve to be there?
If we make the £5m reported we can make and that all gets invested in January in the first team then im very much for it Would give the lads a taste of Euro football too
I would like us to be there but really don't think we will. I don't think we totally deserve it either, if I'm honest - Sion are no great shakes and, if we can't beat them, we don't really deserve to be going forward in Europe.
We don't deserve to be there! We were awful across both legs and I don't see much in the team that would allow us to compete in that Group.
I would love us to be there. Not so much for the money (although it may come in useful) but it gives us something to look forward to midweek and takes our mind off just having to contend with domestic games. Celtic v Atletico Madrid is a lot more attractive than Celtic v Dunfermline.
But it could be the difference between holding onto our players or having to sell the likes of Izzy or Kayal to balance the books.
Celtic give these players 4 year deals so they can sell them in the third year of it All those players are leaving next year
......ruin my joke you bastard. lets try that again. RebelBhoy says: "Just heard the result. Unfathomable....." ST says; "really? what is it?" RB says; "Not proven". .................Now I see it written down it isn't that funny at all.
Woudn't mind being in it. Bit of excitement & good to see how we get on against some decent teams,we usuallyfair well against them & struggle against the ****ty teams to be honest! However, we were pretty gash against Sion so it'd be abit weird to be put back in to the competition. If we'd have lost by a single goal in extra time or on penalties fair enough but it was quite a convincing scoreline we lost by. They deserve to be punished & chucked out but I don't see us as deserving to be put back in really, even though thats what the rules state.
We were poor against Sion. First leg four of our top 6 players missing. "2nd" leg can be remembered as big Danny's for the wrong reason. I thought playng the whole game with only 10 men, a couple coming back from injury clearly not fit, I thought we did very well until Ki's exhaustion caused sloppy back pass. I think it would be an excellent group for us, fairly good teams not too far away in Europe. Team travelling home to play on Sunday would not be a problem and even a couple of good results would build confidence. As an aside does anyone remember any player sent off like Danny for an offence within the first minute ?
I don't think we deserve to be in it going on our performances in the two games, but I would want us to be there for the interest, experience and money. And although I don't think we deserve to be there, neither do Sion for cheating! And while cheating is against the rules, being pish isn't, so we win out in that respect
