So we are a few weeks into the season and had a good look at him. My comments on the other post complimented his ability to create from set pieces (which we have seen in the community shield for example smallings goal) He's done fantastically linking up with Rooney and in my opinion he's instantly settled into life in a united shirt. I still believe he will top the assist chart this season and he's still a completely different class to stewart the downer. Thoughts?
Downing is more direct and looks like he has down syndrome. Young has more technical abilty but has a lean pecker. Overall I believe that Young is better.
Most already knew he was superior to Downing. Not one Liverpool fan could argue with me when I said that deep down they knew that if offered a choice between Young and Downing before the Summer, they'd have preferred Young. They instead chose to skirt the issue and mention the winner of a popularity vote. This was made all the more perplexing by the fact that it was never likely to be much of a contest, given that Young hadn't signed a new contract and the fact that he everyone knew he was leaving.
An assist in the Community Shield, assist for Rooney's goal against West Brom and the assist for the own goal winner at West Brom. 3 assists and two goals against Arsenal. 2 goals and SIX assists in 4 games. That is phenominal. According to OPTA stats he is the 2nd most influencial player so far this season behind our own Rooney. Fantastic start for the lad as I predicted where I said he would be the buy of the season. I fully expect him to continue this form all season. Though not 6 assists every 4 games..
Not a world class player or will never be a world class player, expect world class players for a club like Man United
That don't make you a world class team, just that your competition i.e. other teams have ******ed coaches/or eve lesser players. Barca for exmaple, made you look like sh...it in the champions league final, last season
Yeah your right... whatever you do don't credit United. It's simply easier to discredit every other team in the world apart from Barca than to admit United have a world class team unit
I respect Man United, cause there a great club. But you need to be even better to compete with Barcelona and Real madrid.
Barcelona are on another level compared to everybody else. In the past 5 or 6 years Real Madrid cannot be compared to United. They only just got past the Last 16 last season after 6 failed attempts.
