A fairly accurate summing up of our squad there. The key element you've mentioned is 'nobody there to give them a decent pass'. I can't remember us being able to string three passes together for a very long time now. Do they actually train using a ball because when it's at their feet it's like a hot potato, they almost panic in trying to move it quickly and inevitably lose it. Working on passing and movement is perhaps the simplest and most key element of the game yet we do neither well and haven't done for some time now and with confidence at rock bottom and players being given unsuitable roles in the team we are going nowhere fast. The buck has to stop with Schteeve...

I can’t believe that any football manager or coach isn’t trying to develop a team capable of playing either decent, attractive football, or at the very least to it’s strengths, so to be too vitriolic in one’s criticism of McClaren is perhaps excessively unkind, despite the odd team selections, loans out, substitutions, interviews, pseudo-Dutch manner during interviews, utterly ridiculous hair island and that stoopid, stoopid ****cuntfuck face the useless twat has.

Bob i would still maintain our squad is decent considering the constraints

Wells Hemed and Eze have goals in them - i think

Cameron and Rangel bring premier league experience to our defence

Midfield luongo and freeman are capable players, luongo was in Australia's WC squad

I feel we also have the youth available in manning Smyth etc

My beef is with the motivation of the squad by the management

Warnock can motivate - we know that
Bielsa added one player i think to the Leeds squad and has taken an underperforming squad and turned them around

Its the management or lack of it

But we have a international manager now a ex coach of Man Utd I would expect something but the truth is he hid behind AF
The Dream team of Giggs Scholes Nevilles etc plus others I don’t believe was anything to do with SM never have done

I have had no faith in SM from the start plus somehow we must of tapped him up to get IH out. It shows how the club thinks imo

The fans ... us also need to adjust as many are now getting the point ... we become billy big balls with our investments etc and that ruined our culture as a club with promises of a stadium etc NW got us up as he will keep doing with other teams it’s in his dna

The blame on how to ruin a football club as I have said all along rests with TF another failure who borrowed his own business ideas and then believed his own hype

Again I would like to say please QPR get in QPR people and reinvent the club from the ground up ... look at Millwall even if you hate them you cannot deny their soul and identity

I hope we get a chance to start again I really do and our fan base understands that and doesn’t get carried away with a few wins here and there we have to limp through until 2019 first so keep the wally until then or we will go down ... as soon as we are safe and that will only be because there will be three worse teams than us then chuck SM away quickly and get in GA GF even IH back as coach ... anyone who loves QPR for that reason only ... the days of football science are over it’s time to play football the QPR way again ... come to LR expect to be over run and get a game of football

Resting players etc formations is all bollocks without passion its a game built on passion not SM’s sports science

Biesla is a very shrewd manager and installs a fantastic attitude within his squad. He signed Douglas from wolves, Bamford for big money also, some very good loans in Harrison from man city and young roberts as back up for striker along with Isaiah brown from chelsea. Also Blackman the keeper. They train 3 times a day, are not allowed to go home in between but stay as a squad, even picking litter up from around the ground. It's all about the fans for biesla, he understands that they earn a fraction of the players wages yet pay to watch them. It really is refreshing in the modern game. I have never been so impressed by a manager in all my life. We don't have the manager or the squad unfortunately.

I'm agreeing that the squad is decent but not decent enough for this level to compete in. Luongo...yes went to the world cup, he got as much time on the pitch as my mate in the stands. He runs and runs and tackles and tackles.....like scowen, but then what? There has to be an end product. Playing a ball to Eze or Freeman 50 yards from goal, back to it, with 4 or 5 defenders behind them is limited to say the least.

Superhoop said it right. We don't have players capable of keeping possesion of the ball. Look at the Norwich game for example. They played it back and forth along the back 4 at ease with little to no pressure, enabling their full backs to move the whole team forward patiently and us drop deeper and deeper. When our defence got the ball we either kicked it long, kicked it out of play or lost possesion. There are various reasons for this. 1. McLaren instructed this. 2. There wasn't enough movement in front of them to pass it comfortably. 3. They are incapable of passing it comfortably. 4. They panicked as they don't know any better.
The key to possesion is movement and being comfortable on the ball. Is Baptiste, lynch or Bidwell comfortable in possesion......You only have to watch them to answer that. While other teams have played football to move up the pitch, we have used Smith to try hold long balls while the players catch up. We now have hemed and wells leading the line. Wells is a forward runner, he wants balls in channels much like Washington would have liked. Hemed will benefit from crosses from wide positions as he is a threat but if you can't get the ball and the players up the field comfortably with confidence in ability then it will become a long, hard, tiring and ultimately boring season.

Obviously, Ramsey was too good for us.
Jimmy Fraud would rather be in Japan or somewhere getting a smile put on his face.
Hollow was punching above his weight,
..........which means in terms of suitability, Macca must be the perfect fit!

Well... first the facts don’t lie. Worst 10 game start by a QPR manager for some time now. You asked to be judged on your first 10 games - so answer to your own calling Mr McLaren

Report card for results: 1 out of 10
Steve you need to pay much more attention to detail. Your head is turned easily in class by loan players and your need to accommodate them affecting your results. You really will need to step up if you are to complete your course.

Report card for coaching: 5 out of 10
Very difficult to see any improvement in your work during such a short term. On the plus players have commented about enjoying training. On the counter it is hard to see any improvement being made. I would like to see some definitive improvement for you to maintain your current score or improve upon it.

    Report card for motivation: 3
Every time I watch a player or manager I look for the motivation within themselves and certainly, as a manager, motivation of individual players and the whole team. I see you sat down in class a lot, with a small amount of involvement in discussion during match time. I am never privy to your team talks so have to give you some points as their must be some team talking happening. To improve you need to show more passion, verbal direction and classmate motivation (especially when the team isn’t doing well, or doing what you want, or performing to the levels expected of them - which would have been most games in your 10-game start). This is an area you could definitely improve immediately Stephen.

Report card for player selection: 3
This term was expected to show a vast improvement in team selections and tactics. You seem to have set out your stall for your tactics and seem to be unable to move from your choice - to the point of almost being somewhat stubborn. You stumbled across a semi-successful line-up yet refused to give it another try. Your attitude could be affecting those around you and you seem to have lost a lot of friends because of this attitude (especially on match days). The one small positive has been the gradual improvement in our defence due to attempts to keep a fairly tight defensive team. This was, however, shot to pieces in the last game.

Report card for player management: 1
During this short report period I was expecting to hear about the abilities and possibilities of all your reporting classmates and how they can contribute. I have been very disappointed to see you creating your own favourites (whom will only be here for this school year, then where will your friends be?). You seem to want to build your full team on two (who will leave you) to the detriment of the rest of your classmates. Part of your curriculum is player performance - and you have really not excelled in this area. This leaves you in great danger of failing your term targets.

    Overall 13 out of 50 (26%)

Stephen your start at school has been very disappointing. You are in real danger of not passing your tenure here at the school and the school board are very concerned at your performance level but importantly the impact you are having on your class and on the vast number of others who attend the school. You are becoming disruptive and the school board may have to ask you to leave the school unless you improve dramatically.

Bob... all wrapped up nicely and succinctly. This to a tee.
We have had one half (out of 20) where we showed very good passing and movement. I can now only feel this was more to do with an extremely poor Millwall team and set-up, than it was us hitting on a formula (though I would have liked to have seen it again to know for sure).

In a team with limited ability, you either play the two players (Eze and Freeman) with the greatest match winning ability in the best positions to make them effective or you don't play both of them and get the one who starts to play against his natural instincts.
There's definitely an argument not to start Eze whilst the idiot continues with 4-4-****ing-2, but after seeing how we played against Millwall with Eze in the hole, I'd prefer to persevere with that.

    to play devil's advocate.:
McLaren has had the 10 games he said he needed to install his ideas.
If the board decide he hasn't hit his own targets, then who would want to come in and takeover? No Jan transfer window, little cash available for anything. Would Ollie want to return if asked - personally, I do not think that this would be a good idea, Allardyce....not sure he would want to come to QPR plus his football style is more long ball which is something we do not want seen at QPR; I would like to see Moyes (or Wenger) come in - whilst he can be boring with one nil wins at least strengthening the defence would be a good start,
Maybe McLaren still needs to shift one or two one....and bring in next year before the club move forward.
I would like to see a manager that wears his heart on his sleeve, Colin did that, as does Pep and Jurgen.

I’d take Big Sam’s style of football and the results that come with it ahead of what we have right now.

I wouldn't want Fat Sam. But that's irrelevant really, because we couldn't afford him, and he wouldn't want to come anyway.

    I'd have Ainsworth right now.
