1. Irvine - energy and creativity. Tried things, ****ed a few up but kept trying. 2. Lichaj - emerging hero. 3. Marshall - gave the game away with hesitancy for their goal, rescued the game in last minutes with terrific save.
I didn't think Grosicki was all that good. He got into some good threatening positions but never made them count. That said I find it hard to pick anyone who stood out today. I thought it was a decent team performance but with little quality and no standout individuals. I'm going with: Martin Elphick Irvine
Burke Martin Irvine Grosicki wouldn’t even make it into my top 6!! Marshall, Bowen and Lichaj would all be ahead of him - behind the 3 above.
GLP was more correct IMO I wouldn’t have put any of OLM’s three in my top three (in fact I didn’t!) I thought Grosicki was good for about twenty minutes then disappeared, and I didn’t think Kane was anything startling either Funny old game init
Kane slowed a lot of our faster passing moves down in the second half by dwelling on the ball with too many touches. He doesn’t seem capable of one touch football.
martin zero points without him marshall zero points without him grosicki / Irvine / elphick / bowen good team effort, hope we can say that on tues, not looking forward to it, haven't said that before playing the white ****e in a long time.
