Interesting from Farke: Pukki would have taken the pen shot but had just been tackled and didn't feel comfortable taking it, so he gave it to Vrancic.
This is very similar to our run last season with 1-0 wins . Not sure if it's tactical brilliance or luck as we don't blast the opposition off the park scoring for fun . Farke seems to be getting the best out of his Cosmopolitan side and bringing through the yoot Dem too. Long may it continue. Lose 4 games in a row 1-0 and I'll want the ****s head on a plate of course .
WhoScored gives MotM to the player with the highest score for individual contributions. Emi had 7.2 while Marco had 7.1. Like you, I'd give it to the latter because of the high number of key interventions. As you say he was everywhere linking up play, as was Leitner, who also scored 7.1 and Lewis was another on 7.2. Gutty team performance all round!
Still very early in the season, but our only defeats so far have come at the hands of the teams currently 1st, 2nd and 4th in the league, whilst we beat 3rd place.
if he does - #weredoomed Edit - Excellent record DD since you started doing the MDT and don't worry, I'll stay away from them in future!!!
Pukki was immense. He was my standout by far. Good subbing by Farke too. I wondered why Vrancic was taking the pen but he's full of confidence now too so why not.
I remember something from last season when it was said that the fouled player never takes the resulting penalty.
Krul - 6 Aarons - 4 Zimmerman - 8 Klose - 7 Lewis - 5 Emi - 5 Tetty - 9 Leitner - 8 Cantwell - 9 Stiepermann - 7 Pukki - 10 Subs Thompson - 7 Vrancic - 7 Rhodes - 6
Welcome back from the 'dark side' FML - were you at the game today?? https://www.skysports.com/football/norwich-vs-wigan/392658 Just watched the highlights and goodness knows why we didn't get the first half penalty.
Good to have you back FML. Are you going to the Stoke game - is anyone else going???? DD, but there isn't a thread for 'future games'!!!!
DDF's player ratings from the game against Wigan - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...tings-after-1-0-home-win-over-wigan-1-5716485 As expected, some of the younger players performances dropped a bit from previous games, but the crowd didn't get on their backs. I'd love to see us pick up some more points before the next International break, but our next 2 games are quite tough IMO and hopefully 'Matron' will only have Jarvis and Morris still to look after by the time we travel to Forest, followed a few days later by the visit of Villa.
It's nice to see a bit of honesty from a former Canary! http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...ad-first-half-penalty-against-wigan-1-5717000
