I think we are going to be a hard opponent for Wolves but not feeling optimistic because my razor sharp football brain has observed that we are conceding more goals than we are scoring :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Feels like we are on the cusp of being a good, goal scoring, football playing team again but Hughes hasn't got the selections or formations fully sorted. Everyone loves a Labrador but with Long out Hughes will have to look at formation or selection and he may just chance on a wininng formula up front.

Hoedt really needs dropped at the back. And probably sold.

Our central defensive pairing just has to be Vestergaard and Yoshida.

It was. I don't remember the penalty
I do remember the guy in front of us who was dancing ever more bizarrely each goal we scored until we scored the 6th and he took all his clothes off. The stewards were a picture! They clearly knew it was their job to try and get him to get his kit on again, but none of them would go anywhere the naked dancing man for some reason

Bart saved a penalty from them, right on half time, with us 3-0 up :)

I can`t remember the last time Saints had a minority of possession and attempts, yet still won the game. Usually the other side does that to us. Time to reverse that trend, starting tomorrow.

Or we can have 70% possession, 30 shots and win 6-0. :)

I usually take Media round ups of teams with an acre of salt, but I'm finding it hard to disagree with The Guardian's summing up of us ahead of this weekends's match -

Improving with every performance, Wolves are proving a breath of fresh air in a Premier League in which no team more than Southampton increasingly resemble an acrid, eggy fart by comparison. Showing little or no indication so far that they’re either good or bad enough to do anything even remotely interesting this season, they look content to just hang around in the Premier League, as is their inalienable right if they can accumulate the requisite number of points. However, away at Molineux against a team of entertainers fast turning into media darlings, they have a chance to make a statement and turn some heads by putting the Premier League newcomers back in their box with an unexpected slap-down. Instead, expect them to troop off the pitch reasonably satisfied with a 2-0 or 3-1 defeat, after which Mark Hughes will use his post-match interview to grumble about some perceived refereeing injustice that only happened in his head. Surprise us, Southampton. The gauntlet is down.

yes, so Saints are of no interest to the wider public. I am thinking we never have been of any interset to the wider public.

Noted the comparison to the eggy fart.

The Guardian 'by comparison' has also never been of any interest.

Got a feeling we are going to win the second half tomorrow and come away with a 2-1 defeat.

I remember that after the Falklands war British troops referred to Falklanders as Bennies because they were all as thick as Benny out of Crossroads. The British Army declared that any soldier referring to a Falklander as a Benny would be put on a charge. The soldiers started calling them "Stills" and when asked why by a correspondent the reply was "They're still Bennies".

Didnt see that im afraid!he has the physical attributes to be one of the best hurlers in the country. Would have been interesting to see how he would have fared if he stuck at hurling instead
