Sturridge was poor last night as per usual. Ignoring the open goal he missed, he just lacked any effort and pace to get on the end of passes. A number of times he was put through and just either no attempt to get it or just had a crap touch

Disappointed we haven't given any of the youth players a proper chance (ampadu and hudson-odoi).

The squad is big and the players aren't bad but it's comparable to your back ups correct.

We'll see if Sarri can improve our players but if you look at how they played last year, then it's quite a bit off your team which strengthened significantly over the summer.

I think they think they're playing mind-games. I doubt that anyone's falling for it.

Maybe not all of you at the same time singing from the same hymm sheet all the time but:

1. Some say you have the best keeper ever (appreciate not majority).
2. Generally consensus that Robbo is up there as best LB (i'd say he's better than Alonso)
3. TAA best young RB in the game. Better at attacking than Dave but not as solid
4. You probably all agree that VVD is a monster in defence and better than any of our CBs. Joe Gomez (in the first 6 games) is comparable to rudiger and better than luiz
5. Everyone was wetting their pants about Keita but this is probably where Chelsea are stronger.
6. You're front 3 is arguably the best in the world and none of you boys would swap it for any other front 3 anywhere (i would say judging on sentiment i've read) let alone Chelseas.

So that's the first 11 where except for the midfield, you are significantly better in terms of personnel.

We have a deep squad made up of solid players but none that could insert with the quality we have to change a game. Really only Pedro/Willian and f are game changers in terms of depth with the other being Hazard.

If we win the league over yourselves or city it will be down to a mentality thing or some serious injuries for both your sides if you look at pure talent.

You only need to look at how much can change in two years when you look at players who played under Rodgers where you nearly won the league (how can 1 player in Suarez make that much difference, maybe we can point to Diego Costa and magic if that is the case) where even klopp could only manage an 8th place finish and 2 cup finals with the same team.

 

I was wondering why there's so much talk about Hazard being the best in the world, Ballon d'Or etc. off the back of a Cardiff hat-trick and a fluke against Liverpool reserves.

Then I remembered he's almost out of contract. So who's more #desperate to get some money in?

Suarez did the donkey work to make it easier for sterling and sturridge.

Now days we need Firmino to do that so it's easier for Mane and Salah.
