Yes I know exactly what you mean fellow youngster. It makes me want to go to an all night rave with other like minded young folk. It's not a rad feeling. Not a rad feeling at all.
I've reached the age where announcements of future venues for World Cups and Olympics has me calculating whether I will still be here. I wish they would stop planning so far ahead. On the bright side, I've not reached the stage where I'm afraid to start watching a serial on TV.
https://stmarysmusings.sbnation.com...gs-saints-news-personalise-ads-virtual-hybrid Bit more about our new pitch side advertising (as mentioned yesterday). I like the idea of augmented reality suited for each watching audience. Could we use it to suggest that Saints win every match....may not be true, but would certainly augment my experience.
Aren't we losing our sense of awe a bit. I'm no longer really surprised by any technology any more...I'd believe anything. I was more in awe when I went to a museum of mechanical musical instruments in Rudesheim in Germany. A machine that could play a piano and 6 violins simultaneously using mainly wood and bellows was really impressive.
I dunno, I am amazed everyday by tech around me. Everyday I sit at home working, and at about 1pm on my screen in HD pops up an incoming video call from my daughter 4500 miles away. I can see and talk to her & my grandkids in HD and real time for free* I can also at any moment using my voice turn on stuff, turn it off, check the weather, the temperature in my house, turnoff the heating if needed, check the status of other stuff etc. I can look at my watch and see how active i have been and do something about it if I haven't been active, check my heart rate etc too. I am in awe everyday of how far we have come and excited for how far we can go too. *broadband/mobile data costs aside
