You take a day off during the week then get upset that builders are working on a Wednesday.

Why don't you listen to the sound of drills and hammering on your headphones at night before you go to sleep. That way you will desensitise yourself to the sound and you'll be about to sleep through your neighbours heinous activities

For me, No-one should be doing building work when people are in bed personally.
Not saying you have but tit for tat never ends well. He may end up beating the crap out of you.
They are not allowed to start before about 8 of 9am as most people are going to school or work.
I doubt your neighbours know you have Wednesday off work or care, they are probably more interested in doing up their home...
If they were hoovering at 3am above your room you may have a grievance.

The legal time frames for UK builders to be noisey ****s.
- Monday – Friday: 8am – 6pm
- Saturday: 8am – 1pm
- Sunday of Bank Holiday: No noisy work
Fair enough, but you can't complain about people doing their DIY after 9am.
And if you piss them off by playing Billy ****ing Idol at top volume, then they might just start at 6am tomorrow.
Try wearing a motorbike helmet whilst in bed mate, they drown out most of the noise.
