Widely being reported that Bolton will be placed in administration today. That means -12 points and a two year transfer embargo. Personally I have little sympathy for them from our time in the PL but wonder how it will affect them with our upcoming match on Saturday, either they'll be galvanised to stick one up us or totally deflated after their good start. It'll be just our luck it's the former...
Every time I think something has happened that might give us an edge, it doesn't so not expecting that. Sorry for the fans as I can imagine how I'd feel if it was us. Seems ridiculously harsh and designed purely to be punitive rather than constructive in some way. The landlord of one of the pubs in Ealing is a Bolton fan and a really nice fella. Good luck to them but not on Saturday of course.
A good old Uni mate of mine is a huge football fan. He even came along with me on a few occasions to watch the Rangers. Hope they sort it out.
This goes back a few years when as a Premier League side it was reported that they were close to £200m in debt and their then owner Garside (?) proposed that there would be no promotion/relegation from Premier League so becoming a closed shop........Been in the mire ever since.....
Those 12 points could mean that some other club who might otherwise be looking at the drop may just be able to cling on to survival, I can think of a few likely candidates
So with Bolton and Birmingham facing points deduction, we only need one more team to get deducted points and we're (almost) safe
I'm sure it was the owners of Bolton who were insisting that there be a fixed Premiership with no promotion or relegation, back when they were in it of course! The fact that they are now facing administration goes to show you can't falsely rig the League to your advantage. Shame for the fans and that but being QPR I have 42 million reasons not to give a monkeys about the predicament they are in. Look up sympathy in the dictionary and you'll find it somewhere between sh.it and syphilis.

Bollocks to them and their ****ing out of town warehouse **** ground. ****ing inbreds. Hope they get relegated to the conference.
A Reading fan on Twitter said "With Brum and Bolton getting a 12 point deduction we will stay up". Then someone replied by saying "even with a 12 point deduction it only leaves them 3 points behind us"
