I don't believe anyone couldn't save, what 40 quid, in 4 weeks to see Their team in an FA Cup semi final. 30 quid cheapest ticket and a tenner chucked in 4 or 5 ways gets you there and back.
I'll bet they still had enough for ***s booze and take aways in those weeks, to many people just do everything they can to find excuses
You could get a walk up ticket for The Who on the day for £15.Which is probably one of the reasons that particular gig lost money.
I wouldn't want to question the claim, but if people are living that close to the poverty line, then going to sport at all doesn't make much sense.
What a stupid argument , people went or didn't go for their own reasons I will say that the semi-final shouldn't be at Wembley though
If you can pay on the gate, then it is incredibly poorly written. I may be wrong, but I would very much doubt there's any pay on the gate option; if there was, surely they would have mentioned it?!!
I didn’t mean the concept of the cards, I meant the having to pay for the ****ers. Sure I read sommat like that, was down to the EFL. Maybe.
I agree. The article seems to indicate that you can only attend if you have a card. If you can pay on the gate then they need to specify this. I went to the game the other week and there didn't appear to be a recognised turnstile so I'm not sure who was taking the cash. We had Season cards.
I remember asking at the tix office at the time about this and the woman just said I Can't Explain. Also asked about under 18 tix and was told The Kids are Alright. But on the night the stewards weren't having it and it was full price only. Moral of the story: Won't Get Fooled Again.
