I wasn't sure where to put this, so feel free to tell me to put it somewhere else, but I thought I had to let people know. I confirmed my Cardiff ticket today and saw an old email about the automatic cup ticketing scheme on the way through. I went to see what the process was and found that I was already signed up for it, which I definitely wasn't last season. Just thought I'd put it out there for any other season ticket holders who might need to see if their preference has changed.
I know nothing about GQ, but I am pleased to see Harry win an award and see that Paul Weller also picked up the song writing one which I assume is reflective of his whole career and not just ones released in the last year
Reynolds always seemed to play himself in films, but he had a good delivery, great comic timing and didn't take himself too seriously. Sometimes a lighthearted comedy with some charismatic actors is just what you need. RIP Burt.
The thing is it doesn't matter if someone plays themselves in most films if they've got the charm and charisma to do it. Steve McQueen's another perfect example of this - but The Rock isn't, as demonstrated by his last few films underperforming
I was dragged reluctantly to watch Jumanji recently. I couldn't have described a film I'd be looking forward to less. I actually enjoyed the film and the Rock was very good in it.
Dawn Fraser, one of the few remaining Carry On actors passed today. She was in a fair number of movies and lots of TV. Some of it was pretty good. Some of it less so, especially the 70's bilge. However, my first thought was "Wasn't she the woman in the cinema with Sex Pistol, Steve Jones in The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle?"
