Do you struggle with finding Marmite or pickle for that matter on that side of the pond?

Never looked for marmite before this thread actually. Seems to be readily available. Might have to give that a try.

Is a pickle related to cucumber as it is over here?

Yep. My daughter made her husband cheese and pickle a couple of years ago and he had never heard of it :) He loves it now! #ClosetBrit

There seems to be a hint in your voice that I might not know where one is.... :emoticon-0112-wonde

Here is the health shop I buy my fruit from. Usually grapes.

I trained my dog to bring me a glass of wine.

    He's a Bordeaux Collie.

Think the pickle they meant is something like Branston pickle or Piccalilli (chopped veg and/or fruit pickled in a vinegar-based sauce).

Yep Branston’s pickle. Love it. Not as much as Marmite though to get back on topic to the off topic thread :)

Ham, cheese and pickle is the sandwich of kings.

Peanut butter is also great, only on toast though. Peanut butter and jam is my go to toast topping

Some things are just wrong...and nut- or chocolate-based products on toast are two of those.
    As for Nutella<yikes>

I was stunned this evening when the very lovely Mrs Godders told me she had put marmite in the gravy. She only told me once I had cleared my plate. I never even knew we had the awful stuff in the house but then I never go into the kitchen. Why would I?

After saying I never have breakfast, I’ve just had a slice of toast with Marmite :)

I may do it again tomorrrow.

In fairness, I am off this week, so it is like a holiday :)

Also, yesterday I needed to move stuff between our storage units (don’t ask) and hired a van. On my own I moved 4 full transit size loads, so I am in a definite calorie surplus :)
