I did similar with my French colleagues when I first joined a French company.... they were not impressed
I am more negative about Marmite than I am about Saints. Horrible stuff. Twiglets are the worst thing ever created
I think all bacteria like chocolate. Chocolate is bad for dogs so my son's pooch had never tasted it. I dropped a miniscule piece of choccy cake on the floor which he casually hoovered up (as is his wont). It was like Jekyll had changed to Hyde....he practically cornered me....I was in fear of my life. Chocolate must have some kind of magical powers.
It's only 12.30, and I've already had breakfast and lunch. No marmite involved. And no chocolate (yet).
this week I found HP sauce and Worcester sauce at the market in Serbia. Wow good old English classics. The HP sauce was made in the Netherlands, the Worcester sauce ....... China
When you move abroad there's always something you miss. For me, every time I come home, it's straight to Tescos to stock up on Bisto gravy powder (or granules) Especially the chicken variety.
I thought it was against the law to come back from a holiday lighter than before you went. I don’t use scales very often, but if I do put weight on whilst on holiday it will be because it is the only time I drink alcohol on a daily basis. At home I only drink alcohol, normally a lager, when eating out.
Meridian do a salt-free option. Haven’t tried it, but I actually prefer the salted one to proper Marmite. Sacrilege I know, but there you are.
My lad is allergic to peanuts so I have had to switch to a roasted soy substitute called Wow butter. After 11 years I’ve gotten used to it and it is a decent substitute. You just have to try it not expecting it to be the same as peanut butter.
