Adam Pearson days for me. Warren Joyce and The great escape. That goal at Wembley. Nothing compares to that. The fact my Dad always said I'd see the top flight one day, but he won't. He did and I'll be forever grateful for that. Supporting Hull City was a joy. Then came the Allams...
Since Ehab took over the club has been nothing short of a train wreck. Nothing eclipses Deanos volley day and the year after. That was brilliant years to support Hull City. Getting out of the old Division 3 was also just below it, and maybe that day at Hillsborough. The trouncing of Bournemouth away that day was also good. I must say the first 10 minutes of the FA Cup Final has to be right up their for short term enjoyment. I rate our current plight nearly as bad as the Fish and Dolan years. Maybe not in predicament at the club, but supporter unrest. If Ehab has been around 20 years ago, him and his Dad would have been matched out the City.
Greatest moment ever is Deanos volley. The Allam years have frankly been a shambles. I couldn’t feel more disconnected from the club than I do now at this moment in time and that is entirely down to this pair of utter clusterfuck ****s. The fact Ehab was born, educated and still resides in the area makes it even more galling. He’s a **** and if I ever see him face to face again - I’ll tell him myself.
That first ten minutes of the cup final was some of the strongest emotion I've felt in any sporting code. The final whistle, the most upset I've ever been. In that moment, that game, you realise just how much silverware matters. When someone says that they'd give up a trophy in place of pl survival, I just can't understand it.
Greatest moment of joy was seeing Deanos goal go in. At the end something many of us had dreamed of for years coming to fruition. I spent the night in London in a dream. It was unreal in a Lennon like way. The great games in the league that year were fantastic and it was happy times. I agree it was nice to get to the Fa Cup final and we did have some great players for a while. But if anyone thinks the Allam period is the greatest in our history, the name change, losing your seats, kicking kids out of the arena, losing concessions for kids and people with disabilities, treating your fans with contempt. Anybody who thinks this was the clubs most successful period wants to go and get their ****ing head tested. Success is best measured in honour and integrity not money.
Someone in the southern hemisphere on here does not appear to believe in the old adage "Short term pain for long term gain." To put it crudely: "I'd rather self indulge now rather have a potentially long term loving relationship". If you get my drift...

A truly great day. I miss my dad.
lbest three memories / matches for me are Watford 4 1 - cant believe emotions especially as they went 1 0 up - brilliant game with constant pitch invasions as soon as it became clear we were off to Wembley Arsenal 2 1 - unbelievable game and result - fantastic atmosphere - Geovanni's goal one of City's best ever Bristol - 1 0 - Deano's goal - dream come true thank you Brownio for the memories
Great memories, Charon. Now come up with another seven games and let us know on the thread I've started up for them!
That 1-0 win against spurs Geovannis 35 yard free kick Felt like 40 yards It was just a ridiculous unreal moment " what on earth is happening here" And in the same period we'd gone to arsenal and won
And we couldn't sell out a semi final of the FA Cup after over a 100 years of trying to get to one. The fickleness of hull city fans proved right there. What has enjoyment got to do with it. We were measuring the most successful period. The history books will show the most successful time in our history was under Steve Bruce and the allams.
Define success. Your measure (on and off the pitch) must be way different to mine. As was Enob's in the Guardian 'interview'. #worrying
Yesterday's visitors didn't buy the club then? I'll pop back to check this thread again in 24 hours...
I would measure success as having an objective or target and then fully achieving it. If the Allams objective was to invest some money in the club, get promoted and relegated a couple of times and recoup that money then I am sure they will consider that a success. If the idea was to make this football club a community club, a gift to the city where there would be harmony amongst the support then I would leave you to decide. History will record our FA cup final and two promotions as the clubs best performance era. A successful period I think not.
Shall I write it slowly for you. The record books will show the most successful time in our history is the Steve Bruce/Allam era. That is all.
