Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Been to meet Tommy Elphick this morning. If he defends half as well as he talks, #hcafc have made a very sound signing.
Just been reading what Elphick said in his HDM interview. I for one think he could be a fantastic signing, looking forward To watching him play, you need leaders all over the park, He bloody looks like one to me..... onwards and upwards.....
...... who had never played football in Britain, nor consistently at senior level ..... but by necessity had to be thrown in at the deep end. Hopefully he can now have time to learn, adapt and develop into a great player for us over time, like it should have been from the start.
I still think De Wijs will be fine. A lot of people think that foreign players can just waltz into a struggling Championship team and perform well. They are mistaken.
He does the regular things right, he's made a couple of mistakes but he doesn't seem like the type to dwell on it, he looks like he believes in his own ability. I think Milinkovic will come good too, we haven't really seen enough of him which I think is unfair as he has looked decent off the bench.
De Wijs should have had a watching and learning brief from the start. The English tempo is more frantic than on the continent. He needs time to adapt his game. He looks like he has the right attributes, just not ready for the very obvious relegation battle we’re going to be having all season.
Marshall has done well after the first league game when he took a fair bit of criticism , he's certainly been kept busy
I see Max Clark got his first start over the weekend in Holland and they got an away win with a clean sheet. Moses seems nowhere to be seen at Brentford, still not in the matchday squad. Dawson on the bench again at Forest, not getting much game time since he went there.
