I don’t understand what your saying Willy ? If you see yourself in my post to Goldie then that’s nothing to do with me now is it ? Where does you being ‘right-wing come in to it ? I’m generally confused
I thought it was only Donald Trump who spent his time reflecting his own pathetic (and in his case criminal) behaviour onto others. Now you're doing it as well! If it wasn't so pathetic, I'd be laughing...
It’s really weird reading an online bitch fight when you have one of the protagonists on ignore. I demand action! I don’t think the white, liberal middle class is plotting against anyone Stainsey. I think we are busy looking after ourselves and that doesn’t help anyone else, and we don’t especially care about it (aside from a few pangs of conscience) unless it impacts us negatively and directly. And our lack of interest is colour blind. We live in the age of the individual. **** you buddy, as the game theorist and beautiful mathematical mind John Nash put it.
Firstly, I'm not right wing. You got that wrong. Secondly, I've said time and again - directly to you as well - that the issue of black-on-black violence is an issue. There's also a massive issue with overt police brutality in the US, leading to a massively disproportionate percentage of black people being killed, injured, and imprisoned whereas white people are disproportionately treated far more leniently. There's no 'blame culture on my side (whatever that may be) as you imply, because it highlights that the issues are on both sidea and must be addresses on both sides. Somehow, you and cGoldie don't want to even mention the police, instead only focusing with almost xenophobic accuracy on the fault within the black community. It sure sounds like there's blame being placed on the black community by you two. I have a good friend who has spent ten years in the Met, working the streets of Lambeth and Brixton. I have heard (and seen on a couple of occasions) just how bad some of them are down there. I'm not gonna sugar coat them at all. But I am going to continue to speak about the big picture and not just one area of it. Which includes the role of the police in the US in perpetuating this culture by their inherently biased treatment against blacks.
And when somene does care enough to say so, they get shouted down by those who only want to think of how it impacts them. I understand Stan won't see this, but he's right. Most people look out for themselves only. And if they get lambasted like this for sticking their head up, then I'm not surprised.
You might be right Stan, but I still think having working class communities destroying themselves from the inside suits certain sectors of society ’cos while they are killing themselves, the middle class are left alone. Nice to know it’s not me on ignore
You bizarrely mentioned ‘right wing agenda’ in your original post, and I was genuinely confused what that was about.....did you mean ME ? If so that makes it even more bizarre I feel as that is surely something that couldn’t be said about me..... And yes, I am blaming the situation PARTLY on the black community, in particular black youth who think it’s easier and quicker to get rich from selling drugs and that it’s gets you respect if you carry a knife. Same as I blame the working class white communities of doing the same.....it’s not just about colour, despite what people of your ilk say. You need to get out in the real world mate and open your eyes to what’s happening.
100% love to change that of course but it’s reality. I sincerely believe we are all racists inside to some degree There would easily be a scenario anyone could paint that would put any of us into what is termed racist. There are new words and definitions continuously poured into our society I am a open homophobe and hypocrite I am not keen on many races Take people on a one to one basis I think most people if brutally honest do not care or care enough about general racism The odd moan on a forum or two is about the limit is the most they would do
How could I ignore the Pancho Villa of Staines? If you want the black communities to sort themselves out, why not the working class too? They used to be brilliant at it, the libraries, arts and crafts clubs, orchestras etc of the mining and steel towns were all home grown, not charitable. When Unions worked, they worked because of working class solidarity and collective action. I’m going to exaggerate for effect here*. I need the working class to do loads of things for me, from making the things I consume to maintaining the infrastructure that I use, things which I don’t have the time or skills to do in our highly specialised society. I am happy to pay for their healthcare, education and welfare, and would be happy to pay a bit more. This is why I don’t avoid tax, though it is laughably easy to. I also minimise my own cost to the public system by choosing private options most of the time. This was Marx’s great unintentional achievement - by publishing his theories, especially on class conflict he alerted the capitalists, who reacted by making the lives of workers a little bit more bearable, thus averting revolution. And how do the working class thank me? By voting for Brexit and Trump. Ingrates. Roll on automation of everything, see how they like them apples. *Not everything written necessarily reflects the views of the author.
