Agree with it all pal....though I'M m probably more of a ****y than a winky (that's my problem, though)!!! Think Manga's been our best defender so far...Reid & Ward were a breath of fresh air today...Arter & Camaraderie were great again (Artrer's finishing aside)....Bit worried about Ralls though..not sure if he's up to it...set pieces rubbish..not offering much else either...Gunnar in..Ralls out .mmmmm.

Thought the same about Ralls free kicks, then he sent over the cross for Wards goal, via Morrison! :emoticon-0103-cool:

That’s why the top clubs win; they can spend millions on a pair of strikers to earn 3 points.

City unfortunate today not to get at least 1 point; had more chances than in previous 3 games combined.

That first goal was a shocker. Bamba<doh>

Morrison conceivably has spurned 3 points for us in last 2 games. He also won’t want to see their 2nd as he just let him run at him rather than closing him down.

City did play some decent football but lost so many 2nd balls. Can’t see them being allowed to play like they did today against the teams who’ll be around us in the league as they’ll be much tighter all round the field.

Great game but maddeningly frustrating as came so close today but for 2 worldy goals, the 3rd unlikely to succeed 1 times out of 100.

Fantastic atmosphere and a really enjoyable game except for the result.

The Ward/Reid combo up front made all the difference but Hoilett was poor again. If Murphy had been out wide instead of him we could easily have won that game. Bennett and Manga were immense but the 2 CB's looked off the pace and couldn't get to grips with the quality coming at them.

The midfield is looking good but Ralls has had better games. I really like Camarasa and Arter will run all day and gets stuck in - pity he can't shoot.

A few more performances like that against "bottom half" clubs and we'll do OK.

Agree with all that Sparkey - really enjoyed yesterday even though we lost.

This has to be one of the main concerns. I don’t think they will be capable of turning in such a good performance in the games that matter. Yesterday, the pressure was off and nothing was expected of them. But I too enjoyed the game and hope that they play with a similar purpose in the coming games <ok>

A very enjoyable game Bruno was immense, we will get 3 points before long.

Brilliant crowd over 32k, let's keep them coming.

That's Warnock's job Sheepy. Although it's been said it was a game "that didn't matter", I think they all would have learned a lot yesterday about what's needed.

Sitting back and allowing the opposition to pass the ball around in your own half spells disaster. It happened at the start of the second half when we were at 1-1 and I thought, here we go again, going sit back to try to hang on for a point.

In one way, thank God they scored if it taught us something. It made us press again in search of a second equaliser and it caused them all sorts of problems. That's what we should have learned if we didn't know it before. OK, so we conceded a third, but it could so easily have gone the other way - we had plenty of chances to score the winner.

What are the odds on Arter being suspended by the time we play our vital game v Burnley?

Might be an idea to rest him for one of these 2 games?

ps Any news on why Murphy didn’t make the squad?

Minor hamstring pull - should be OK after international break.

Might seem a bit odd to say this but, the way Danny Ward scored his goal took me back to the good old days. He was on the penalty spot, and receiving a looped header from Morrison...he hit the ball with his forehead, and managed to twist his neck and powerfully propel the ball into the net.....great goal. The majority of our headed goals come from Morrison, who seems to throw his head at the ball, and more often it goes in the same direction....still good, but different! Have to say Ward looked good to me, did we have the CF all along? :emoticon-0103-cool:

I thought Ward and Reid did really well. Reid's best game so far. Pity he didn't put away the chance when he got half a yard clear.

With 2 smaller guys up front we played the ball into their feet so much more although Ward also won his fair share of balls in the air.

I see what you mean about his heading technique. Didn't he score a similar goal away at Fulham last season?

Bamba and Morrison didn't have their best games. Probably gave their strikers too much respect.

Yes he did from the only assist by Liam Feeney in City colours.

Much better in the air than Zahore as is his link play. Plus a half decent turn of pace with one excellent turn and run in 2nd half.

Yes our central defenders culpable for all 3 goals; Bamba for the first and third by not closing down. Morrison for conceding a needless corner for their first and not closing down for their second.

True Ninian. I had forgotten Morrison's cock up for the corner before the first goal. He seemed totally disoriented. How Bamba let Mustafi get a yard on him I don't know.

I suppose we saw the difference between 2 very good championship cb's and what is needed in the Prem.

Manga had probably his best game ever for City. Big tests coming for him v Chelsea and Man City who make more use of quick wide players.

Scousers complaining about something getting nicked!!!!!!!!

    It started abroad anyway.

Good display. Ward Reid combo is encouraging. Ralls Arter Camarasa were superb. We have a massive problem when 1 is injured or suspended.

Dont think Junior is fully fit.

Bennett looks the defender who has taken to the division with ease. 2 cbs found like tough yesterday.
