Yep really a scrap with punches flying all the way down the road away from stadium Female friend who picks me up after game in car panicking as she drove past and through them ..Me laughing as a Whitby fan tried to drop kick someone , missed and landed on his arse. Whitby young hooligans doing some strange sort of dance, sort of jumping around going forward and then backward never having contact with anyone No boxes Mr Sterling unless you bring a wooden one to stand on No seats either as they sold out to pass holders
Tickets to games at Scarborough Athletic Strangely they don't sell tickets but sell passes and the seated area sells out pre season Just turn up and pay on the gate Only 3 times has it been all ticket while I have being going South Shields bring lots of fans and Hyde in a cup game...Whitby was all ticket to keep them in one area behind a 4 foot plastic fence I am sure the club will grow in time as more seating and terracing is planned Little steps and one day they might make the national league...the national league north would be great. Lots of long time fans dream of being in league 2 or Higher...but that's not going to happen imo unless some one slings a few million at the club Some clubs in these lower leagues have millionaire owners... For me I just love going to the games and not that bothered about what league they are in National league north , one step up would be great though.
-> South Shields bring lots of fans and Hyde in a cup game Why do they do that? Are they embarrassed or scared or something? Off topic a little, but what the heck is going on at York? New ground opening next season? Sunk to, and pulling up no trees, in National League North. Is the money being used for now on the ground? Who owns them? What's the story? #somanyquestions
Apparently the owners are, according to their website :- Jason McGill - JM Packaging : 75% York City Supporters' Society Limited : 25%
I still can't get my head round a vicious rivalry between Whitby and Scarborough .. now if it was Skipsea away at Hornsea then that's a different level ..
Scarborough v Whitby fans hate each other DJ... There was fighting kicking off all over the place after the game...whitby brought about 200 fans , nearly there home attendance ... About 100 off them came looking for a fight...most of those about 16 years old ... Now all complaing it was Scarboroughs older fans that attacked them which wasn't the case at all.. Stewards are useless at Scarborough and let fans out at the same time and used a stupid plastic fence to seperate fans . Rematch new years day at whitby with 1,000 fans from Scarborough going as usual. But Police and Stewards far wiser at Whitby and only a few fights usually I am told .
Hyde, Away on Saturday. They don't like Scarborough fans either after last season's cup game when Scarborough supporters would not let them out of the stadium or get back on coaches after the game till every cop in Scarborough got called out to the ground During the game only 2 stewards stood between Scarborough and Hyde fans Did the same at the friendly between Scarborough and FC of Manchester. Stewards from security firm not good at football matches South Shields fans are ok ...no trouble with South Shields who brought lots to Scarborough
O/T Brid I remember going in the Globe pub years ago and everyone was a Man Utd fan .Scarfs and Flags on the walll. Always looking in Johnny's junk shop years ago Good memories of Brid very late 60s early 70s on Sunday days out with mates from Hull Take Care Barchullona
Thanks Sir Stanley your a star and a very valued friend for sure Hyde United 2 Scarborough Athletic 3 Not much to say about away games but listened on Yorkshire Coast Radio extra Who feature Scarborough , Whitby and Bridlington town live games on radio commentary Seadogs well on top and led 3-0 Late comeback saw Scarborough almost turn a win into a draw. Have seen a couple of games with Scarborough leading with 10 mins to go the only holding on for a draw so defense needs to stay awake At least Coulson and walshaw seem to be getting some form back . Best attacking strike force last season by miles. (70+ between them) 577 at the game with approx 150 from Scarborough though some claimed 200 Good win Tuesday we have North Ferriby at home. Ferriby lost 5-0 on Saturday at home to Warrington Town
Top 30 non league average attendances out of all non league club South Shields and Scarborough getting more then alot of national league teams
Interesting figures, has the FC United bubble burst with them only averaging 1,697 ?– seem to recall they were getting more than Bury when they used to play there. Went to see them at Brid Town a few years back when they brought quite a few – presume they’ve all gone back to Man U now.
They've only averaged around 2,000 for most of the time they've been going, there's only been a couple of seasons when they got bigger numbers (the first season they launched was over 3,000 and 2015, when they moved into their own ground, jumped to 3,400).
