Ings had a blister apparently, which is why he was absent from training during the week. Not a surprise, but a great attitude from him. Well deserved win, shame about the penalty miss, because it would have been a lot less stressful
I am thinking that the person who is most angry about the penalty miss, is a guy called Charlie Austiin! As we won, I bet he is getting a severe ribbing from his team mates.
Crystal palace roared to life because we were unable to maintain the pressure and pressing from the front line that Shane led fantastically. Along with Danny Ings. I don't get this rubbish that Shane isn't very good and doesn't create nothing... without his harassing and pressing it wouldn't allow so many players to come into play. So many defences are running back allowing others to come into play. He should be judged more than just assisting what he does with the football at his feet
Shane has been very good for these last two league games IMO. He does press from the front and must be a nightmare to play against.
Pierre's extra energy and grass coverage is also a big factor in why we started the last two games on the front foot too.
If he keeps making crucial game saving stops like he did today, he will be #1 for some time to come, he is an England squad member too now.
That shot he took was an absolute rocket. Hughes gave him a bit of a rark-up on the touchline, dont think he was doing what he was asked. 5 minutes later he scored. Hopefully that's a good sign.
I wouldn't bother trying to explain it to some people. Obviously SaintinNZ and Osvaldorama know much more about strikers than Mark Hughes, one of Man Utd's greatest ever strikers.
