What term now fits the bulk of City fans? I doubt I'd have got away with a question like that on the old rivals site. Other clubs would have been all over it. The descriptions here apply to me too, so I'm not having a dig. Supporter? Most don't go, and of those that do, other than buying a ticket and some merchandise, in what respect is the support revealed? Fan? Short for fanatical. Enough said I reckon. Follower? I'm not even sure what that means in football fan terms. So, do we really know what we are?
All 3 apply to me. Impossible to get there regularly, obviously, F & F answers the supporter question adequately.
Ummm, I feel the need for a collective noun contest. A sufferance of City supporters. An endurance of Hull fans. A dungeon of Tigers masochists. An optimism of Allam Outers. A relegation of City players.
A group of Tigers is called "A Streak" & I nominate Dutch to carry out the next Anti-Allam protest on behalf of all the Tigers in The Streak.
