Because they've existed in a house of cards.

It has taken external scrutiny and action to bring this about, because those members who knew, like our FA, just didn't respect their sport and their people enough to make a stance.

Dissolve the lot of them and bring sanity back to the game.

Truth is, most of the international football community want their bit more than a reputable game.

I think we all have known how bent FIFA is for long enough .. they have been allowed to cream off endless amounts of money stuffing it into their own shady bank accounts .. even the new regime at the helm are bent .. this lot will never have any trust from the world .. too much skullduggery has gone on .. too many bribed officials .. sack the association .. and start afresh is the only answer

As they've now switched it to winter, it's not.

21-25 on a day and 14-18 on a night, just like a summers day here.

A former head of Brazil's football association has been jailed for four years for corruption.

Jose Maria Marin, 86, was one of seven Fifa officials arrested at a hotel in Zurich in May 2015.

He was convicted of accepting bribes from sports marketing companies in exchange for contracts to broadcast tournaments such as the Copa America.

In addition, Marin was fined $1.2m (£920,000) and ordered to forfeit $3.34m (£2.59m).

He was sentenced in a Brooklyn federal court by judge Pamela Chen and he is the first official to be sentenced as part of an American investigation into corruption at Fifa.

His lawyers are going to appeal <laugh><laugh><laugh>. Let's hope the sentence can be increased.

This year's World Cup in Russia will have been a lot hotter than Qatar in winter plus quite pleasant humidity.

So the only person sent to prison so far is an 86 year old? While a Blatter is still able to waddle around Scott free, going to the World Cup like he's still in charge.
    Unfuckingbelievable!

Bizarre thing is that we are actually 'holier than thou' regarding corruption in business. The rest of the world view a lot of his practice as acceptable and are way behind us in condemning the bent bastard.

In a perverse way, you have to admire Blatter for his brazen attitude and the fact that he appears to have really covered his tracks. Not an easy thing to do, but he seems to have accomplished it.

FIFA have in the past donated hundreds of millions of US$ to poor countries to develop the game.
Some trickled down to grass roots football but a large chunk was siphoned off by corrupt local officials
Obviously when it comes to FIFA congress these officials vote for the re-election of their paymasters/partners in crime.
This is how Blatter stayed in power for so long.
