Agreed...money will not be going back into the club...straight into Uncle Huw's pockets methinks. :) Miserly git.

Actually the Swans fans don't seem to fussed about it...talking about promise etc... If I was in their shoes, I would be asking why Uncle Huw is planning on relegation and not even trying to stay up!!! Seriously obvious Huw is using this as his little personal payday. I wonder why Buck isn't being more vocal!

The problem the Swans now have is that a couple of their rivals at the bottom of the Prem have strengthened (QPR big style) where they have done very little. Lets be honest, if we go up, we'll be in the same boat, looking at the teams around you and seeing how you can finish above 3 of them. It's the same for all promoted clubs. I commented on a thread on their board where they were eulogising over the percentage stats they'd had and how they were above Man City, Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and others in the passing stakes. Compleating a pass gets nothing. Stoke (until last year) probaly completed fewer passes than anyone, but made them count. Topy, tappy between the back four does nothing, and all they've done is add to the back 4. More tippy, tappy and no goals.

Saying that, if they don't beat Everton after their sales yesterday they will be in deep doggy dos.

Look fellas - Dai casts his hook and this thread descends it a discussion about the Jacks. I can't believe he's got so many bites.

Let them alone and just wait. <ok>

    Back on topic.

Gutted but pleased for Craig who gave his all for this club last season.

Who now is brave enough to take up the mantle for this season?

.............and another one for Dai. <doh>

Bobby - I don't know who will take up the Bellamy mantle mate, but I'll bet the budget set aside for his possible return will be put to good use. <ok>

    Spark!
Was thinking the same thing. There are going to be some big Premiership names available next week and MM will have a lot of spare cash to cover wages.

Every cloud has a silver lining Sparkey. As you say, there will be ringfenced cash being freed up.

I'm starting to think MM didn't get rid of anyone as he still doesn't know what he's got. January may be a different matter. It's nice that we can get someone in before we let someone go. It used to be that we had to let someone go before we got someone in.

A reflection on the progress we've made off the field.

I wish Craig the very best with this move and let's face it how could Cardiff City possibly compete with 2 years at Liverpool. However with Craig not coming there must be some money available within MM budget now and with him trying to offload Jon Parkin well I think he has someone in mind.

Can't wait to find out who it is.

Malky needs to watch the budget though as the Prem clubs have a nasty habit of charging loan fees running into 7 figures - without any pence.

I guess the less obvious the name the lower the fee or no fee.

I wish Bellers all the best in the future too.. Disappointed he's not coming back but it ends there.. I'm still along with you guys priveledged to have had a world class player like Bellamy dropping a division to play for his hometown club and pulling on the coveted blue shirt week in week out for a season.. I can say to my kids, "when Bellamy played for Cardiff.. I was there.."

Sincerely the best of luck to him at Liverpool, you can't blame him at all.. I can't fathom how some "fans" have started slating him for reportedly saying he'd play for us for free. How in the hell is he a judas, he wasn't even our player! If it had been the Swans maybe a different story.. but a resurgent Liverpool? Some people need to get a grip!

As pointed out by others too, it'll be interesting to see how the excess wages left over are spent on loanees in the next few weeks.. <ok>

I can't believe the attitude of some "fans" either, the guy dropped a division last season to play for his hometown club, and gave his all. Then he tries his best to get back for this season, but as soon as it becomes obvious that it is going to prove practically impossible to broker a deal, he joins one of the top clubs in the premiership, best of luck to the bloke and thanks for the memories <ok>

As much as i love to wind you guys up too, I will openly say it, I love bellamy. think he's an awesome player, and any team able to have him in their squad is very lucky. Shame mancini couldn't see that he was the best player for man city, but that's where us football fans and the managers differ. Couldn't blame him for wanting to help push top 5 or possibly top 4 now that arsenal have been neutered for good. All the best to the guy <ok>
