I didn't take it as particuarly hostile to pardew. They are just pointing out that what Pardew says and what the club does with respect to transfers have so very little to do with each other that it is almost pointless for Pardew to speak. They are pretty clearly correct on this. I don't think they blame Pardew for the siutation, though

I the chaps that run it are just so disgruntled by the current regime. They cant help but criticse the people who have a say in the running of the club

    Pardew is a puppet.

He knew what the craic was when he took the job. He is feeding us lie after lie to keep us happy. If he was pissed off with the situation he would just leave. He knows what is happening and knows it will continue to, yet he'll just sit back, feed us lies and take his money.

Pardew is being very well paid for being Ashley's (admittedly articulate) spokesman in the dismantling of the club. Of course he should be criticised.

No doubt he'll be on BBC Newcastle tonight with more bland claptrap about how ignorant supporters are regarding transfer dealings.

Pardew is their puppet. He speaks in their favour all the time. And, lets face it. He is one of 'them'

    Money! Or lack of it.

He came in because of gambling debts and he's Ashley's muppet. Ashley owns him.

As long as the team keeps performing well under him i don't really care if he carries on as he is, supposedly feeding us lies and taking his money!

On the lies front i think it's more, in transfers anyway, that he's got no control over whether a player gets signed. He makes a list of targets and hopes that Derek and Mike can sign some of them...or so he says <laugh>

I totally disagree with the Pardew is a Puppet theory!! if he was here for the ride and to just do as he was told and pick up his salery he would not display such emotion!!

He wants to to good Job!!!

I wasn't just refering to todays articles on their site either, there has been an undercurrent of this towards pardew for a while now.

    What ****ing emotion?

Do people really think he gives a ****? He sits back and just let's things happen. He's no manager, he's no boss. He's a face for the twats at the helm.

so you dont think he gets the team playing??? his half time team talks seam to be pretty decent???

He has bought into the way this club will be run. Investing in young players, not overspending on **** (owen, boumsong, luque etc...) I honestly think that in time a lot of the nay sayers will be proven wrong!!!

Everyone including NUFC.com is fed up with the lack of enough quality signings. Emotion speaking everywhere at the moment. Pointless AP resigning over it all though. Whoever is in charge of the team under Ashley will be in the same boat but i wish he would just say nothing about transfers until they are done because nothing is what he obviously knows.

    Chanting Ashley out. Doesnt work
Buy out. Was laughed at by everyone

Afraid we are stuck with the twats till he puts it up for sale again.

I'm surprised that people still get upset, when Pardew's words and actions don't always merry-up. I'm pretty sure we've all known, well, since Pardew was appointed really, that he is nothing more than a coach and a PR man. Whether we like it or not, this is how it's going to be until Ashley leaves. There's no way Pardew will leave, as he's known the score the whole time and couldn't turn down the chance of a big contract and to rebuild his career/reputation (as a coach, not a person/puppet).

I personally don't blame Pardew for all of this. He probably shouldn't say as much, but I suspect it's more his character than anything - he seems to like the sounds of his own voice.

What's he supposed to do when asked direct questions? Say, 'No, I don't think we'll sign anyone. Our board are full of sh*t and have been having you all on!' ???

The sooner we all get over the fact that Pardew is nothing more than a coach and a spokesman, the better. We can all hate the board as much as we like. But we've got to get behind the team and not allow negativity to filter down to the pitch, and jeapordise our good start.
