Bit busy today, so here's a straight copy and paste from the HDM... Batty had a few familiar faces in the away end on Tuesday I had a few friends and family in the away end on Tuesday night, they loved it. Just like I did! Batty on this week I think it’s been tough, but I’m growing into the game. I was disappointed against Aston Villa, but it was nice for myself, but after Tuesday the mood is getting better around here. We’re bright and bubbly this week. We just got a burst of energy and knew we would get the points. The youngster is with us now For me the season has been good, it’s nice to be involved, it’s been a good start for me. That's it from the head coach Dan Batty will be up next. Adkins on Stoke City I’m very mindful, I was there to watch them against Leeds and Crosby watched them on Wednesday night. It was a challenging evening for them but it will be a tough game for us. We’re mindful of the fans, we’re having a team meeting after the press conference and you have to be mindful of a wounded animal. Robbie McKenzie impressed the head coach the other night Robbie McKenzie came on the other night, he was brilliant. Dan Batty has played three games now. Reece Burke played against Sheffield United and picked up a thigh strain, that’s how it is. Adkins on Grosicki's future It is still the case we are looking for three or four players. The Championship is demanding and we need to help everybody by bringing players in to help the situation. Even yesterday there was conversations going on, people are showing an interest in Grosicki, he trained on Wednesday after Rotherham and his attitude was spot on. There’s a chance he could go before the window but if he doesn’t he is part of the group. Loans are different to what was before because everyone has a loan fee. So you have to look at the business side of it. Adkins on transfers I had a meeting with the owner and Lee Darnbrough. Everyone wil be asked the same question and every manager will talks about the domino effect. We need to bring players in before the window shuts. There will be no new players tomorrow. There is money on the table with other clubs and people will always put players’ names forward and until you are aware of the finances you’ll understand why. We are actively trying to understand and improve the squad of players we’ve got. Adkins is here Everyone is fit apart from Mazuch and Weir. Toral had a hamstring problem and if Kingsley gets through training he will be ok to play. MacDonald was left out because of my decision. We have a real good bunch of players in this football club. As long as you have to be up front and honest with them, they desperately want to do well. Except for the two long term ones, everyone is available.
Conversations are going on. Wonderful. They are trying to understand the squad of players they have got? What does that mean, exactly? We know Hull City are a football club, nit a hocjey or lacrosse club. Why does he always refer to ourselves, and others we are playing ircdealing with, as the football club? Just club would suffice.
Now talking about the fact that there is a loan fee and we have to look at the business side of it Not looking good is it
The Lads are out training over the back fence. It all sounds quite jovial. There's a good spirit within the squad by the sounds of it.
“We’re mindful of the fans, we’re having a team meeting after the press conference and you have to be mindful of a wounded animal.” Good that he’s done his homework on the Stoke fans. Still scum.
Well, what that says is there is a fee to pay for loans. Right, that's that then, allam wont meet it so no loans, MacDonald? Says he made the decision. Is that the decision to leave him out completely. We work as a tight squad. Does that mean that macdonald is on the naughty step. Not bad for a player that cost us a fee and has hardly played a game ffs.
He really doesn't fancy MacDonald does he. As he came with a bit of a 'bad boy' rap, I wonder if thats happened behind closed doors here as was the case at Barnsley..
I'm quietly confident about this game. I think we will at least get a draw. I also will need to work out what kind of disguise I'll be wearing tomorrow being a scab and all.
I thought Batty was tremendous for us midweek given his inexperience and it's great to have young players stepping up to support. It could be that there are two more teams just as bad as Rotherham in the league so that's given me a bit more hope than previously. Adkins too, I don't like him generally but I did admire the way he has regenerated Marshall also it has been great to hear the away fans supporting the team and manager despite everything.
Despite all that I fear Crouch as usual and Stoke, but who knows- no reason we cannot scrape a point away this weekend.
He was the captain in the cup vs Sheffield United, I don't believe this bull that Adkins doesn't fancy him. He had a poor game and was dropped, simple as that.
' Back in the day ' A friend who was from the area of the brewery said locals had a saying, "When the bottom falls out of your world, drink Ruddles County and the world will fall out of your bottom"
