It is still looking like a struggle to find anything worth backing on the Knavesmire with two cavalry charges to immediately discount... The Lowther does look a match between Fairyland and Angel’s Hideaway. The former has not been seen since Royal Ascot whilst the latter has kept busy, going down to Pretty Pollyanna by seven lengths at the July Meeting and subsequently winning a Group 3 where her two main market rivals blew their chances by pulling. The other seven all need to step up markedly on previous performances if they are going to feature. The Yorkshire Oaks looks very open, although Sea Of Class will be all the rage as she takes on some of her elders for the first time. It is curious that Forever Together has not taken up her entry and Magic Wand looks to be the most serious contender of the three Ballydoyle participants, although well beaten by the favourite at The Curragh. Of the three older fillies, it is hard to make a case for Horseplay to go better than Coronet; and Eziyra is a bit of an unknown quantity. Having not been out of the first two in seven races, with three Group 1 wins to her name, I am going with LAURENS to continue her fine record stepped up to twelve furlongs for the first time.
Working up in mountains no signal so i've done Sea of Class , Lah ti Dah ,and Golden Birthday in a 10/1 treble ....
Morning 2.25 York-Celebrity Dancer Each Way @ 12-1 [Skybet] 5 Places To turn fortunes of stable around
If Coronet can repeat her 7l run behind Poets Word and Crystal Ocean then she can win today. Afaak as well has some good form in the book this season so fancy he can beat The Queens jolly today at York. Now you guys know who to avoid, good luck.
hard to look past the favs today at York, I am tempted to go for the better price of Laurens but I can't take on Sea of Class. I'm excited about the comeback of Lah ti Dar who I think could well have won the Oaks if she had been fit. if there is to be a surprise then maybe BETTY F in the last, but then again Move Swiftly was very impressive at Goodwood.
afternoon folks!! york,1 55: given, what they achieved so far, this looks very much to lie between FAIRYLAND and angels hideaway.both fillys have competed at a pretty high level so far,and theres not a lot between them on their last clash, but the o brien horse is probably a bit less exposed, and hasnt done much wrong so far,so she gets a narrow vote today.. stratford,2 05: a tight little race, despite only 3 horses, but all three have the potential to do much better over fences, but EL TERREMOTO was justabout the best of these over hurdles, and made a fine start to his chasing career recently.so,with further progress highly likely,he looks the one to beat..
stratford,3 10: quite an open contest, but one of the better handicapped ones is surely SEEFOOD.is now on his last winning mark again, and though he hasnt shown much for some time, has often contested much tougher races than this.also is his yard is supreme form at present,so if hes better for his last run, decent chance..
Yet another cracking run by The Mackem bullet! considering the track ,going and distance didn't suit. on the strength of that I had a few quid on Red balloons who beat the Bullet in a messy race at Musellboro'
having a quick look to the yorkshire oaks later on: LAURENS is a filly, ive been following closely since the very beginning, and i just love the way,she puts her head down every time.so,if she stays this new trip, has a very big chance!
Sea Of Class for me in that race, meanwhile in the big handicap I fancy the Godolphin horse Reach High to at least place - 14-1 currently
Very well done to Mark Johnston on breaking the record for British winners by a trainer! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/45240532
stratford,3 45: ONTOPOFTHEWORLD still has a relatively low mileage, and has some useful irish form too,so decent chance in this rather weakish contest..
stratford,4 20: a shockingly weak contest,in fact not much better than a seller, but someone has to win it,so i think, its HERMOSA VAQUERA.she and ladies dancing are the only real "form" horses,if you want to call it that.gary moores mare is also on the same mark,as when last seen over hurdles last summer, where she was a good second,so if able to bring that form today, has a more than decent shout..
