All I know (suspect) is something is not quite right with PJ he looked not in the right frame of mind in the game he played. Could be he is just miffed not to be first choice immediately on his return from international duty, of course
I wouldn't say villain - I would say victim. Someone has been speaking to the Swedish press. It's either Jansson or his agent. They told the press that an offer of 5m came in, and the club accepted it, but Jansson wanted to stay at Leeds. LUFC are saying 10m came in, automatically turned down. I have to say, why would the club accept 5m?
Is this a proper press outlet or a Swedish version of HITC? For what purpose would Jansson or his agent speak to the Swedish press at this stage for unless he is going to be sold and he wants the fans to think it’s the club’s doing??
Wiki Expressen ("The Express") is one of two nationwide evening newspapers in Sweden, the other being Aftonbladet. Expressen was founded in 1944;[1] its symbol is a wasp and slogans "it stings" or "Expressen to your rescue".
Belisa ahead of Norwich YEP Liam Cooper (hamstring) an Adam Forshaw (foot ligaments) both out. But Pontus Jansson (back) and Stuart Dallas (quad) back in training. PH Bielsa speaking now: Cooper out of Norwich, and Dallas and Forshaw too. Still waiting to decide on Jansson. "We are waiting for more news." #lufc
YEP Bielsa on team news: Cooper won't be able to play, neither Dallas, neither Forshaw. And we are waiting for more news with Jansson, we will see if he can play or not. Resources stretched now? Not at all. If we make the maths we have three players less and these four players won't be able to play. If we had the fourth one it would be Jansson, we already knew that. We work also with the under 23s and we have some players playing in this position who could offer us some solutions.
PH Bielsa on the defending at Swansea: "When we have a problem, our hope is always to find a solution. When we make a mistake, it allows us to see it and find a solution. I can't assure you it won't happen again. But when we're aware of a problem, we're in a position to solve it."
PH Bielsa: "The problems I saw at Swansea, we didn't have them before. But Shackleton played in the position of Ayling, Ayling played in the position of Cooper and in the position of Phillips, Klich played. The profile was more offensive. A lack of co-ordination was more probable".
PH Bielsa on the Championship and whether there have been any surprises: "Before starting a competition, you can draw analysis and rankings before games are being played taking into account budgets, the quality of players. But when you play, you don't see those difference."
Bielsa on the Championship Before starting a competition, you control an analysis table with the rankings before the games are being played. You can establish a ranking taken into accounts the budgets, the quality of the players, the strength of the institution, but then when you play the differences you see at the beginning are not evident when you play. There's a term which says you win before playing because of the history you have as a team or club, the games you played before and this doesn't happen in the Championship. In the Premier League it's hard not to find which team will be in the top six, it's the same in Germany and Spain and France and this competition which is one of the ten most important in the world does not respond to this logic.
H Bielsa: "There's a term used in football, that you can win a game because of your previous fixtures/results. This doesn't happen in the Championship. In the Premier League it's easier to identify which club will finish where. The same in Germany, France." #lufc
YEP Bielsa on sticking to his style at Swansea It's not easy to change the style. To transmit the style to a team you need time to do it, to integrate a style you need time. Sometimes it happens in a short time and sometimes you need more time and when you win games it makes it easier to bring that style.
YEP The idea to have alternative plans, which is considered a virtue, I don't really share this point of view. I think we have to do what gives us more possibilities. The goal is to do better and not stop doing it and change the style because when you know how to do different things would mean you would have to share the time available on different ideas and goals.
YEP So it's natural that the same function, that two players with different features can do the same function but this doesn't change the style. Harrison is a winger who does deep movement, he always tries to find the ball behind the opponent. And Pablo is a winger whose strength is getting the ball before the line of his rivals. The style integrates, our style makes us to play on the sides but you can do this play in different ways, in a vertical way and go deep or you can do that making combinations and associating with other players. Our ambition is to try and find more solutions to one problem but the style is the same. I don't think I am the master of the truth, I try to explain why I act like that. I know all the people don't share my point of view.
MB says he takes his subs in at half time (not always) so he can put his message across. Analysis of the 1st half, tactics & how they can affect the game needs explaining to subs. “It’s common sense” he says.
Bielsa: “If I am to convince people I have to believe In what I’m doing... otherwise players will abandon you.”
I study and try to learn those who propose an alternative plan. My point of view, I just explained it in ten minutes. But I always try to see if those who don't share my opinion, I always analyse and study the other point of view to see if I have to change mine but i cannot do this because my job is to convince people that to transmit what produces triumph, in order to convince people I have to believe in what I am saying. Because the footballer only believes something that you truly believe in. I am going to tell you a serious mistake I made - the kind you don't forgive yourself. I was the head coach of a great striker, Crespo, a very generous player. I trained him in two different moments, when he was a young player and then when already he was an experienced player. When he was a young player, I told him once that I thought he was a player with maturity but i was lying to him. I was trying tio strengthen his self esteem, giving him a skill that actually I didn't think he had. After some time when he got the maturity, I told him now you are a really mature player, not the same player as before but what did he think? He thought how come you not say this before, so you lied to me. Before you told me I was a strong player but didn't believe it. I am right not to forgive myself. I am telling you this not just to tell you a story, my goal is to publicly apologise to Crespo because I didn't tell him the truth but it was lesson. If you lie to your son nowm in order for your son to get something from this artificial strength, you will just resolve the problem for that day and that moment. But you will have actually weakened him because you will have convinced him that he has a feature that he only has for a small amount of time.
