It was a TV series about a German conman played by Alexei Sayle who 'created' diaries by AH and flogged them to the biggest and possibly most respectable German publishing house and the ongoing sale auction for worldwide distribution; including Rupert Murdoch's organisation. Alison Doody played Gerd Heidemann's (Jonathan Pryce) missus. Heidemann was a dreamer and a crook who worked for the magazine Stern and was provided with virtually unlimited cash (bank notes) for the purchase of the Hitler diaries. He inflated the price required for the diaries which were supposedly discovered after an air crash in the former East Germany so creamed off thousands for himself. So much so that he bought and renovated the yacht owned by Herman Goering! To give you an idea of the feeling and humour of the series Barry Humphries (Sir Les Patterson) played Rupert Murdoch and Alan Bennett played Hugh Trevor-Roper the historian. It was, of course, based on a true story. The book is also excellent; written by Robert Harris (Fatherland and Munich among others).
Never did understand the fuss about this useless bint. ****e tennis player and not in the least good looking. Made Martina Navratilova, Vagina Wade and Billie Jean King/Queen look positively alluringly sexy.
Just taken aback by the comparison between the sultry Argentine and the mildly attractive Martina, an English bint who has never swallowed in her life and an American burd who has probably never indulged in any sexual activity in her puff. My mind became temporarily unhinged!
