From the radio comms, we showed precious little cohesion, awareness, movement at pace or penetration until the first goal went in. Different after that, but why just the last 10 minutes with home advantage? Delighted with the win by the way
I take it back... Tettey is the best player we have! Haha but seriously, he was awful today. Pleased for him though as it clearly meant a lot to him to score. You could see him getting down as he knew he was playing poorly. Cracking strike!
Both teams seemed tense, but the goal broke that and we played much better after that. Natural, I guess.
I thought Tettey played well again (except for the 3 or 4 passes straight to oppenents). He didn't need to take off his shirt - it's not like he has trouble collecting yellow cards. Emi definitely has something to offer. Was really pleased with his short time on the pitch.

So, Just in the pub celebrating the last 10 minutes of normal time - the less said about the previous 80 .... Apart from the goals (and the win AND the clean sheet), the highlights for me were Klose and Hanley in defence and Lewis, Hernandez, Rhodes, Pukki and Leitner all impressed. Tettey, despite his goal - I'd really like to see him rested for Leeds. I'm sorry FML, but until you've actually been to a LEAGUE game, I fail to see how you can be like 'a stuck record' (what your Mum and Dad had before CDs!!!) and keep saying that the tactics haven't changed. Yes, IMO, there's too much sideways passing, but when we do get the ball to Hernandez, things happen. It will be interesting to see if 'Bendy' starts on Saturday. Edit - Stoke got THRASHED at HOME. #rowettout
It looked like he has a good head on his shoulders and plenty of confidence. He took the ball forward when he could and held up when necessary. Could be another explosive player to go along with OH and even Jamal.
Great finish from Pukki! Never knew Tettey had a left peg but a great streak from the edge of the area
It's a shame that it took an injury to Pinto for Farke to change tactics! We looked much better with 3 at the back! Lewis was far more composed and direct as he wasnt so worried about losing it and being out of position! If only we had a manger who could see these tactical differences earlier!!
Agree that a back three is the way to go. We have lots of players who will score this season unlike last.
