Well that has to be the one of the worst transfer deadline days for us ever!! I dont think there has been a deadline day like that where there has been hardly anything to say about Newcastle United possible ingoings.

I am disapointed like all we didnt get that "quality" striker we all craved and do need.

    On a brighter note....

This is the best start we have had to a premiership season since the first days of 1996 with Keegan.

We have managed to score goals already this season and i feel the midfield will contribute with quite a few also once the team has settled in more.
I believe Best, Ba and Ameobi will score minimum 12-15 goals between them, no point talking about lovenkrands. I think Sammy has got a lot to offer us and maybe a few more appearances from him this season would suit him and us.

We are unbeaten in 4 games all competitions winning 3 and drawing one going into the international break.

We signed Ba, Cabaye, Abeid, Santon, Elliot(wtf?!) Marveaux and Obertan. Once Ben Arfa is back and fit and fingers crossed he continues to play without any further injuries that will be like a brand new quality signing. I can see him scoring a fair few goals.

Defence looks the best we have had in years!! And hopefully Santon will live up to his earlier expectations.

Granted, if we get a few injuries to our "better players" we could struggle but these are ifs and buts. Lets enjoy where we are at the moment and see how the new team do bearing in mind they are still gelling together.

Please feel free to shoot me down on my optimistic approach:emoticon-0100-smile

We'll do OK but with a decent striker we could do sooooooo much better.

pretty sure selling our star striker for on deadline day is worse.

Maybe......but for 35 million, if you was Ashley would you turn that amount down? selling our star striker on deadline day and not having a replacement lined up....thats the real crime.

I only wanted a striker and I would have been happy. Some people however need to realise including Mr Barton that we are not going to throw money here, there & everywhere. We are running the club properly and yet we still manage to attract quality players on a low wage budget.

The start to the season has been great and I feel QPR will be a test but unlike our players their's have to gel and it won't happen after one game. As for Ba and Tiote we know they have been fasting and it is the end for them this week so maybe we will start to see the best out of them again.

    Stay positive people!
