Leeds United defender Fede Bessone has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent to enable him to join Swansea City.

The Argentinean returns to South Wales after spending just 14 months at Elland Road.

Fede, who signed in the summer of 2010, made just eight appearances in a Leeds shirt, all coming at the start of last season.

He failed to figure in Simon Grayson's plans after September and spent the second part of the season on loan at Charlton, where he played regularly.

Agreed! He's just providing much needed cover as our 'second choice' left back has just broke his leg in a high speed golf buggy accident.
I take it you're glad your shot of him then guys!!!
To be honest, he did a decent job in the Championship for us, no more than that. However he seemed to have stinkers for you at the start of last year and has been out of favour since! He's definately more a attacking left back than a defensive one. I'm dissapointed in the boards lack of investment in an alternative but time will tell.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

He is possibly the worst left back ive seen at elland road! Constantly out of position, used to just stand their ball watching! can't believe you want him back! do you want paynter aswell?

glad he is back with a proper club, why he wanted to go to leeds in the first place was a mystery, still he knows now that he made a big mistake and was so happy that swansea wanted him back that he drove back to south wales as soon as it was confirmed...welcome home bess..<ok>

He was very very poor at Leeds and off the pitch didn't appear happy or interested. Perhaps it was just the wrong club and the wrong time, some players like a certain club and find it difficult to play for another one. Swansea have back a player who was simply not good enough for a poor Leeds defence in The Championship, perhaps that tells you what to expect from him, until he regains his confidence.

He should go out & buy a Lottery ticket. How the hell did he get a prem contract when he couldnt force himself into one of the worst deffences in the championship & had to get game time at League One Charlton!

To be fair to the lad he held his hands up and admitted he was ****e for us, good luck to him hope this doesn't effect the morale of his good mate Becchio.

Glad to see the back of Bessone. Heaven only knows why Swansea want him back.

I must be in a minority of 1 here, but I'm actually quite glad we kept Paynter. If SG sticks with the 442 formation, I still maintain that he'll score a hatful, especially in a midfield of Nunez, Clayton, Howson, & Snoddy or Lloyd.

Hope we can now get a couple of decent loanees. Not sure now who will play LB against Palace next week. There was a serious possibility that Bessone would play being the club's only other supposedly genuine LB (given that Parker maybe still injured). That obviously can't now happen, so who will be our back 4? Me, I'd go

Connolly, Kisnorbo, Bromby, O'Dea or Lees. If Parker is now fit, I'd have him at LB to either prove he can make it at LB at Leeds or be loaned out for the rest of the season.

I wouldnt bet on Paynter ever scoring for us again.

There's no way he should be getting game time with Mcormack finding his feet & Keogh showing some real class whilst holding up the ball.

Becchio should be back very soon as well <ok>

Doesn't it say something about this season and how we lower hopes and expectations... The lack of signings pre-season, about the start of this season result wise and about transfer deadline day activity being all one way.... LEEDS FANS actually stating that they are happy we didn't sell Paynter. I think the world is coming to an end...

Next time I'm up at ER or you're in London, I'll try & explain things to you Pags.

Bucks, your point is well made. Clearly with Keogh & McC. doing okay & Becchio on his way back, BP isn't going to start a game anytime soon, especially as Keogh & McC. have just had a week off. So no need to rest either of them for a while when games start. But I still hope BP will prove all of you wrong & score a hatful. Yeah I know, I could have a long wait!! Time will tell.

Anyone got a spare ticket for the Brighton game?
