Not to worry. He's washing his hands of the club according to his article.

There's a hell of a lot of 'ifs and buts' in your argument. If players come good, if they can gel as a team. Anyone remember Colo or Enrique in their first seasons?

It's good enough to go into the season with one decent centre half as cover, who now happens to be out for 5-6 weeks? That's ridiculous.

Our squad as it stands looks to have plenty of options across the midfield, but the defensive cover is painfully thin and our striking options are seriously limited. All of Pardews bluster about being 'ahead of the game' is a joke. He's been made to look a mug again by his employers. If we were willing to match Fulhams bid for Ruiz then why didn't we offer a little bit more for one of our 'supposed' higher targets.

A big sack of money doesn't put the ball in the back of the net.

Not only Strikers score goals you know. We have a midfield full of goalscorers now. And with Ba up front as a back up plan, a lay off player then it shudnt be a problem getting goals. Im over the moon with this transfer window. barton + nolan tried to take the club for ransom but got taught a lesson. Fair play in my opinion. Cabaye looks like he will be scoring screamers for fun once he settles in. Ben Arfa and Gosling back, two tricky AM's who love a shot on goal. Obertan, fast, skillful can make runs across midfield or into the box, maybe lay it off to Ba or someone. Good player.
SANTON- its against the laws of football that we got this player but we did. This guy is immense and will have no problem settling in with us, but just in case of any hiccups give him time. He had his confidence shat all over at Inter, we are not a club to do that to any new signing so patience please.
Marveaux - bindippers wanted him for a reason, good player, will take a while to settle but we have a bunch of players in midfield to play in mean time.

Then our fantastic defence so far will keep us in good stead.

Personally, we have a whole new game plan this year. Many teams in their second year in the prem find it harder because other teams sussed them out the previous season. That cant have happened for us because our main goal threats are gone from last season. Now we have a completely new style of attack, and thats only going to become more powerful once benni and gosling are back. We are midfield maestros at the moment. Think we should do well, had we have got Ruiz, Europe would have been ours but it wasnt to be. We cant change what has or hasnt been done in the past. Just get used to it and hope for the best either way.

The future is bright, the future is black and white

Shola imo should be 4th choice in a worst case scenario with injuries

If shola starts games its simply because pardew is a bad manager...

    Ba and Best

    then

Sammi and Nile (if hes still around)

    then

    lover and shola

we will be fine chill out ba and best are good enough and we can play obertan ben arfa up top etc

    No.

I would start Shola over lover or the gangsta. On his (possibly Ramadan impaired) performances to date, I would start him in front of Ba as well.

As unappealing as it is, on the performances so far this season, it's between Best and Shola. And Best doesn't fill me with confidence

People also forget we wont need to score anywhere near as many goals as last year because

    1) kruls amazing now

    2) Defence looks brilliant

    3) We now have 2 cms who can run

    It's not a success.

We received 47m and spent 13m..

I'm not saying we should spend it all for the sake of spending , but when you know you haven't got a reliable , quality striker who can guarantee you goals every season , why not just pay 10m?

Whoever thinks that Erdinc , Ruiz , Gameiro , Gervinho were money grabbers are wrong. It's the club who are trying to convince the fans that they tried to sign these players but couldn't.

And I think we could have signed every single one of them. Not all of them but we could have had a choice. We decided to do it the easy way , get a striker on a free and rely on 3 other championship quality strikers , with one (best) marginally better than Shola and much better than Lovenkrands.

what really annoys me is extremism

to most people you're either ecstatically happy about the window and brand anyone who isn't a 'doom and gloomer' or you're a negative bastard who paints everything black and label anyone who doesn't 'clearly on drugs'

where's the middle ground? fr me it's been a mixed bag. the deals we've done have been good but i'm 100% certain some promises were broken about getting a striker (which we desperately need btw) in

Anyone happy with this year's transfer dealing is a ****, a mackem or ******ed. The new signings will either sink or swim, the sinkers will become the new Xisco's, the swimmers will become the new Enrique's. Our club exists to make money now. No ambition, no dreams. We're just a stock market for some fat **** to trade players with so he can pack his fridge with pies. Crowds of 50,000 don't turn up to Ikea to cheer on the latest stock take, Ashley will ****ing destroy this club, he's steadily stripping it of everything it once held dear.

And we disgust you pythagoras? Pull your head out the sand and take a look in the ****ing mirror. <ok>

Couldn't have put it better myself. <applause> How people can be happy that we have failed to buy a quality striker in 8 months with £35 million is beyond me. I find it ironic that the owner of this page calls his fellow fans "disgusting." He clearly can't handle differing opinions, and his resulting to cheap insults shows that perhaps he should take a look at himself first!
