A decent striker with any confidence would have.

Whats also worrying is the two teams we have lost at home to were poor and will be fighting a relegation battle also.....

I agree it’s not right to do so in principle but we are going from pillar to post. I just feel that SM relies on a forgotten and false reputation. His real reputation imo is that he fails more times than succeeds.

I can’t see the fit with QPR plus he has had that fresh start he knows the players he knew the situation he knows the club

To lose 0-3 after a 1-7 defeat is a new low imo. Very clear imo that he is too blame
Priority had to be play tight
Slowly regain a team spirit and stick to a principle ... I haven’t seen one yet to have three strikers on which looked awful regardless on chasing a game looked desperate to me and exposed a real lack of any plan and this from a ex national manager ?

    There was no scenario 1,2,3
After a heavy defeat you must of least built in a few ideas and plans ?

I would always choose stick rather than twist

I think this is a final exposure of SM

The worse QPR side I have seen
This is a watershed moment without doubt and a real crisis

New lows on the horizon if we don’t act now

I can’t say stick on this occasion as I do not believe SM has talent enough to do this on his own ... he has borrowed credit throughout his time imo

I feel zero passion and confusion from his leadership and I believe the players feel the same ... toxic

    Twist and do it quickly

Our history is littered with poor managers
SM is on course to be the worse in our history.

The models are there to see
    Look at Millwall ,Brentford
Anyone see them letting in 10 goals in two games ?

Don’t feel sorry for SM although he will try and spin this. He knew the brief and he has come up very short with a total exposure imo

    He is useless

Twist get him away from our club

We are not in anyway in a relegation battle

    It’s August FFS

Plenty of time to turn this around but not with SM imo

I can see another Qpr record on the way. 1st sacked manager of 2018 season. Shortest term as a manager for a Championship side, maybe.

Our Board, Director of (Bad) Football and manager could even teach the Oystons a lesson in how to royally fu@k up a football club.

If we sack SM (which on his record so far and given Amit's boardroom takeover seems likely) who would we get to come in? I think it would have to be someone without a club, because nobody's really gonna leave any other club to come to us at the moment.

But what managers are currently available? I can only think of one, and that won't happen - either Olly won't want to come back, or the anti-Olly fans would riot.

Simon Jordan absolutely slaughtered TF on Talksport this morning laying the blame totally on him. He also slaughtered Redkrapp saying giving him the transfer budget was like giving a bloke with syphillis the keys to a brothel... <laugh>

Catching up on this epic thread.

It’s the football fan thing though isn’t it Stainsey, with our goldfish standard rose tinted memories we always look back in times of crisis, no matter what the past was actually like. So now people think Holloway or Warnock are the answer (the Hornock or Walloway solution).

They are not and would compound what I think is our core problem - a chronic lack of imagination and risk taking in coaching appointments. With the possible exceptions of Ramsey and JFH all of our recent coaches have been easy picks, known quantities past their best. The problem is with the people making these appointments. Swansea, a club in crisis, selling players and not replacing, get Graham Potter who worked a miracle at Ostersunds with players who couldn’t get a contract in League 2. Early days but they are third. He would have been perfect.

Tony, who would have had final corporate say as chairman, has gone. I think Les is next in line. Great player and seems like a nice bloke but does anyone think he is among the sharpest cutting implements in the box?

    Great post.......

I’ve even read people harping back to the days of Tango and Cash....I mean ffs.....another few years of those two and we would of been even more ****ed than we are now.

And again I agree.....I can’t see Les lasting much longer. What does he actually do ?

I don't think tango and cash were ever truly in it for the long haul. Whatever may be said about them, they got the club to the premier league and sold up. They were ruthless when needed and it served them well. Would be worse off if they had stayed......I honestly don't think anyone has been worse for our club then Tony.

Let's do a quick examination to see if QPR conceded the perfect hat-trick?

Did they concede a goal just before half time? ... Check

Did they concede a goal just after half time? ... Check

Did they concede a goal in the last minute? ... Check

Oh look, yes they did <applause> <applause> <applause>

It did make me chuckle when I got home and read that mate. Bless us, I'm still hoping and think we'll win on Saturday.

Yes of course, although I've been invited to a barbecue and will have to turn up late for that. Most of the people there will be Fulham and Chelsea fans, so it should be fun. But then again I think they're even starting to feel sorry for us.

I almost feel sorry for McClaren. No budget for new players but no doubt told that there was an excellent squad of young talent to work with based on nothing more than a couple of flashes from Eze and Smyth last season. A man who really believes in playing football the way it should be but landed with a club regime which hasn't produced a team able to string together more than a couple of passes for several seasons. Heavily criticised for trying to get the team to play out from the back (as 90% of teams now do) he then sees how switching to a long ball game is equally pointless when your strikers are just plain useless and your midfielders have no idea how to counter attack. Plan A, B, C or even Z would equally come unstuck with our current squad.

Almost but not quite. What can be instilled by a decent manager in even the most crude of squads is pride and passion, both of which was entirely lacking last night.
