yeah lights back on - got the decorators to check fusebox since it was their stuff in way and a blown bulb had tripped the breaker so simples. Gas engineer arrived at 9am and replaced switchboard so now have hot water. So all good mate but getting pissed off with living in bits of the bungalow but at least we have now set up a safe way for me to reconnect router once they have packed up for the day. My original rant looks a bit pathetic now but at the time i was seriously pissed off.
Not pathetic at all mate. Sometimes it can be quite cathartic just writing it down. Glad things are getting sorted for you
So my new phone has a setting called "comfort mode" that reduces the amount of blue on the screen. This will come in handy for when watching football games.
A few questions - do you use any criteria when giving a comment a 'like'? Do you give a 'like' sparingly or are you generous in dishing them out?
I like it so like it lol. Then there's the i like 3/4 of the post but disagree with one point but can't be arsed replying over just that bit so just like it like it.
Depends how I'm feeling. If I agree I might like. If something makes me laugh I might like. Sometimes I use a like as a "thanks". Sometimes I like something to be ironic.
The social media idea of "like" always seemed childish to me, but it's there and there's no other way of showing approval of something other than writing a post in agreement - and unless you have something to add there's not much point in that. I tend to "like" something if I think it makes a good point (regardless of whether or not I agree), or if I find it funny.
I usually reserve them for. a) any humour. if a post is witty or in some way funny I will throw a like. b) if something is self deprecating I will throw a like.. unless it's said constantly. c) if someone makes an astute point they get a like
I appreciate all sorts of comments, especially witty/funny ones and there are certain people whose every comment I seem to like. Very often I like a post as an acknowledgement that I've read it if it's a response to one of my posts and I don't have anything else to add.
